I have had a previous 'next day delivery' from Thorntons fail to turn up until 2 days later (was just before xmas during freak snowy conditions though ) - also was a glitch, not as good as this one though :beer: -ooh, wasn't too bothered one way or the other before, but the word 'glitch' has really made me want it again!

Although I did NOT place an order, for those of you who are wondering why your order is not tracking, I had a despatch email for my M&S wine today but it still isn't tracking. I don't expect it to track until late tonight or tomorrow morning even if it is delivered tomorrow. I know we are talking about different companies but tracking systems are all similar. So if your order isn't tracking, this doesn't mean that it has not been sent.

This service cannot be used for advanced dates. Tracking is available 72 hours after despatch. The first day of the 5 days starts the next working day following despatch. (Monday-Friday) Goods may be left without a signature in a secure location at the driver’s discretion'

obviously they get next day deliveries send out asap they say before 4pm

but in these circumstances once the glitch was picked up they stopped sending deliveries regardless of what delivery method you chose so some got sent and some got stopped

I ordered at 2.15 and received a confirmation email but have had no dispatch notice either. Wish they would let us know what is going on as I don't want to wait in tomorrow if they aren't delivering.

i wouldnt hold your beathe without a tracking number is very unlikely its been sent
check your spam (possible hope) or did you have a missed call (if so most likely not coming)?

My order was for two of the eggs at a third off. also paid for named day delivery bringing the total to £13.95- so not too bothered if I get the deal or have to pay an extra £5.32. However the payment was handled by a company called Billing Revolution and got a payment transaction number so can't see how Thorntons can get any more money without you authorising it.

I thought this thread was going to be about expired chocolate and just wanted to say I bought an old pine chest and found an expired box of chocolates in a drawer. I guzzled the lot and am still here to tell the tale :beer:

That's what I am wondering too. Saw your post and Gemini Jes post during my lunch hour - worked half day today so was able to order soon as I got in. Details below - think I may have been one of the last to get an order in. Picked next day delivery and have not had a cancellation call or an email.......yet.
