MSE News: T-Mobile to hit pay monthly users with price hikes

Surely if they are going to increase the price on price plan they have to increase it on the discount on peoples account if not then its defintely going to be over 3.7% as mine comes near 7.8% rise.......one way of getting out of contract..0

I always believed contracts were a 2 way street and fair on both sides.
I agree to stick with them for 2 years at a set price (I know I signed up to Ts & Cs) but this was on my 2nd or 3rd upgrade with them and never before had they increased costs so it came as a huge bolt from the blue.
They also managed to screw up my upgrade by quoting me one price and charging me another £10 higher but that's a different discussion.
Now if I want to vary the T's and C's by changing the amount I pay by the percentage my salary has decreased in real terms when compared to RPI I don't think I would get very far. So much for a fair contract.
I am livid and will NEVER use this company again once I am able to leave the current contract. Roll on January 2014.0 -
Hi can I cancel for free if I haven't received any correspondence in writing Informing me of these price changes 30 days before they increase? Doesn't it say in their t& c that they will give customers one months written confirmation of these changes before implementing them??0

I understand that you are annoyed. May I just ask which networks you would consider moving to in January 14? Do you know of any that don't have a similar increase clause in their t&c?0 -

Isn't there something in the Consumer Credit EU Directive Regulations 2010 which states that if a contract exists which is then changed, the consumer is automatically entitled to a cooling off period? I am going to look in to it & will get back to you if I find something but would appreciate some help.0

Has anyone ever been told at the time of taking out the contract that the price is subject to change?
I know I never have been.
A contract should be a contract and no increases allowed until end of said contract.IMO.0
