Trust me!! its 5 years if you start after Jan 1st. Anyone who has had a "union brief" about the new terms and condition's with the pay rise will be able to tell you the truth!!
This is 100 percent correct. JLR want 90 percent core and 10 percent agency. Agency staff will only get offered contracts as core workers either retire or leave and this applies to new starters as of Jan 1st 2015. This was part of last novembers pay negotiations0 -

Right first day was alright I suppose. Bit boring! That health and safety discussion goes on forever! Basically you get there and your put in a big room with all the starters and your there for around 4 hours having a bunch of people come and explain alot of stuff too you. After that PERA come and get you and take you through a little bit of the factory too a room where your going too be training for the next 2 weeks. You do functional skills and (i think) 2 exams. One english, one maths. then week two it's all too do with training and simulated production lines etc.
On training you get £13.18 per hour and after that it varies too what shift your on. First day you have too wear your steel toe caps aswell but they do let you off once. So wear trainers but keep your toe caps in your bag. All in all a bit boring but its all necessary etc. Just try too have fun and a chat.0 -
Yeah I understand that but mine had to be sent off, and I wondered how long that takes,0
