I have been in bodyshop 2 for 6 months now and everyone tells me it is the best place to work! Working on Trim & Final is supposed to be the fast paced area to work! Body shop 3 is newly built and i think its building the new Jag..The only thing i would be disappointed with is that anyone who starts since Jan 1st will remain with Agency (Manpower) for 5 years untill they get a JLR contract!!
I've been told different. It's still a year with Manpower and then you get offered a contract. Thats what I've been told by numerous people at the factory0 -
Hows the training going twytchee?0

It's a year with manpower then 12 month rolling contract with Jag which repeats until you are either taken on permanently earlier at Jaguars request or you have been there 5 years whichever is sooner.0 -

who told u this?
as far as im aware from the union brief, they will only offer jlr contracts when the headcount of core employees drops below a certain %
so you can be manpower for 5 years, unless im mistaken somewhere0 -
Youll have to answer all these questions for us twytchee when you start your training tuesday as im sure they will tell you whats what. I heard something about £30 per week attendance allowance too! Were all counting on you mate for info lol good luck0

That's how I understand it as well, potentially 5 years with Manpower, although still getting the yearly % pay increments taking you up to 100%.
The £30 attendance allowance is payed after 12 weeks.0
