manual assessment at Jag/Land Rover

So, 4.54 and I'm finally on my drive at home. 1 hour and 24 mins after finishing shift, bearing in mind on Saturday overtime, when you're allowed to use the JLR car park, I can be home in less than 20 mins
Forgive me if I sound like a miserable moaning git, there is lots to like about working at JLR and I'd never want to put anyone off, I'm still glad I applied and got the job and do genuinely enjoy working there, the lads I work with are great and if you don't mind repetitive hard physical graft it's great. I've been reading this forum since I applied last year and I've read lots about the buses being great and they are every five mins etc etc. I just wanted to put forward my experience of it, and everyone I've spoke to in my build hall shares the same view. In my time there, the bus and airport run is the only frustrating part of the job, although I know it's not going to be forever. Every week on Friday the Union rep walks the lines asking if there are any issues and 9 times out of 10 the buses and airport car parking is the biggest frustration. It maybe different if you work in T5, I can only talk about my experience as I don't work in T50 -

Out of interest are there bike racks on site? Thinking of cycling in when I start as can't help but feel that this catching bus malarkey is going to be a pain in the backside. I only live 8 miles or so away and with traffic being a nightmare in birmingham at the moment think cycling may be more bearable. Just not when it's raining or windy though lol0 -
Yes I think so, a few of the lads in my work group were cycling in when the weather was more favourable0

got the all stages passed email on the 17th of dec and I'm still waiting aswell lol. Anyone know if I'm waiting for another email or a phonecall because Manpower aren't really giving me any answers other than "Let me take your name and I'll pass it on etc"0

I've got my pre-employment inductions tommorow. Uniform sizing up, photo taken etc.
It says i can park at Lode Lane itself for this 1-2 hr session is that correct? I thought we always park at the airport or is that once full employment begins?
Also says wear causal clothing, joggers t shirt trainers etc ok ?0 -

As far as I remember, you get told at all stages not to wear jeans. You can't wear jeans at work at JLR at any point0
