I rang manpower today and explained I was offered a job in June but couldn't accept it. They have informed me that I will have to go through the process again. The only problem is I am going on holiday on the 30th march till 10th April. I have read that if you have booked holiday hey will not take you on as they need you to take holiday in shutdown. If I apply now would I work out about right that after going through all stages it should take me through mid April or is it better to leave it and couple weeks then apply. Thanks

You should be okay Easter shutdown is from the 3rd of April for a week so it is highly unlikely they would bring you in at that time.

thanks, i completed the online assessment about a week and a half/2 weeks ago

Cheers, looks like it varies then. My oh has been waiting around 3 weeks now since doing his online assessment. Last time he was waiting 6 weeks, he'd given up on it then they called him to book manual. Good luck with your manual assessment.

Can anyone advise the address of where we park, the only address in the start email is Lode Lane which is the actual site? I heard we park on Bham Airport??

Yeah it definately varies, my mate works there and it took longer than even 6 weeks for him to hear back after his online assessment.

There is no parking at Lode lane site for manpower staff. You have to park at the Airport carpark that is allocated to JLR, it is the last roundabout at the airport before you come to departures & arrivals.might be a good idea to do a dummy run to familiarize yourself. The shuttle bus service to the plant starts 45mins before each shift and they leave every 5 mins.

Does anyone know if manpower contact references before or after giving start date as I know my references havnt been contacted as of yet.

Also what's the wage we start on, saw £10.79 p/h mentioned a few weeks ago, just sounds abit too good to be true for my liking lol

I'm on 4 shifts. We do a week of nights, a week of afternoons, then a week of mornings. We then work THAT weekend 6am-6pm Saturday and 6am-6pm Sunday! Then we have a week off! Nice to have a week off every 3 weeks!!!

    Weekends £18.62
    Nights £15.73
    Afternoons £14.49
    Mornings £14.49

So is there an actual address or just go to the Airport and i assume it is clearly marked?

Is there a security barrier to the car park or a security guard? Or can anyone jusat drive on. I'll take my induction letter wiht me of course if there is a guard.
