Right, done the online/manual/full interview now. They did say that the contract with manpower is only for a month, then you get taken on. Seems like a big risk to take what with the mortgage etc. anyone shed any light on this?0

The jobs are tough and there's no guarantee of the contract, are you sure it's only a 1 month contract before you're taken on?
If you can graft and are reasonably active, then there's no reason for you not to be able to do it.
If you're out of work it's a no-brainer, but it maybe a risk worth taking depending on your current situation.0 -

I'm assuming your on the skilled trade side of things, not the production operative side.
Can't comment personally but my BIL started at Solihull about 2 years ago, giving up a very well paid self employed job (he's an electrician) and loves it. Think he's on about £35,000.0 -
I had interview Jan 29th had email to say been successful, have phones nearly every day since and keep hearing no start dates so stuck in limbo, was at same stage last year in march when was told after interview that recruitment was put on hold. Just worried same is gonna happen again, what's annoying is someone knows something but manpower are so reluctant to reassure people. I only wanna have an idea when I will start!!!0

Don't rely on them they are users take my advice and keep looking for something else.i know the money's good, but I've spoken to someone who worked at jag via manpower and they keep stopping/starting you, so over a period of time the money is crap because the work isn't regular enough.i passed all the tests and interviews jan 7th but have heard nothing.have got a nice little job locally now, less money but low travel costs and regular work .good luck but don't hold your breath.0
