  • Hi..
Had an email yesterday (with about 100 others attatched to it) stating that all positions are filled but thanks for applying!
Apparently I'll be contacted in a couple of months and will be offered an interview.. Why not interview now and save time later??
I feel I've wasted my time on all this.
Well done to all those that got a job out of it. Best of luck to all those still waiting.
It's all in the small print
  • no more updates anyone?
i still dont understand why people were doing assessments when positions are potentially full
  • Not heard anything yet, could be some time I guess
  • My staring date is 25th February. I got mail that i'm successful on 5th Decemeber. Then i have to say wait and don't give up.
  • I'm at the waiting for interview stage However i am very nervous about the interview as i have never had a formal interview before. Could anyone give me the exact interview question any tips or a heads up on the kind of questions i can expect. Any info will be very much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
It's what they call a competency based interview, which basically means answering set questions on a series of categories, for example 'team work' - just try to provide specific examples of instances where your experience matches up to the scenarios described in the questions. Try not to be too nervous, my interview wasn't overly formal - you and the five or so people in your group will all be interviewed in one room at the same time, seperately and on individual tables by a member of manpower staff. Just take your time and even if you're just out of education/don't have much work experience, remember you can draw from any life/school experience so long as you demonstrate understanding of the question. Job interviews are usually very scary, until you're there doing them ;-)
Had mine last week and even though I've had plenty of interviews, the elaborate assessment centre/group set up made me feel reasonably intimidated, until I actually got stuck in to it and found all of the manpower and jag staff to be very friendly and helpful.
Waiting to hear myself, so keep your fingers crossed for me and I'll do likewise in return!!

    Best of luck!

    Kerri
  • I'd just like to add to everyone in general, that checking this thread has been a massive help whilst preparing for the various stages of the application process, so big thanks to all of you for coming here and sharing your experiences.
I don't post on message boards, but you've all been so helpful I felt compelled to join in a bit
