  • Hello guys,

i had and interview on the 1/12/2012, for JLR in the Radcliffe centre on Warwick for Skilled trades for the Solihull plant, i know that most of you are applying for prodution roles but with manpower, and i am asking here because i can't find online any other kind of info related to the JLR oportunities, i don't know if there are here anyone that are aplyed for skilled trades... i am waiting till now for a positive or negative reply, and with the christmas and the new year time i think this is a little bit delayed... let's wait and see...

if there are here anyone from my assessment day, i am the portuguese boy that comes from Portugal only to be at the the interview day for skilled trades:D

    best of luck to all...

  • Hi,

Just a query. I have been working as a support worker for years. My role changed slightly in november 2012 when I finally got my first social work position. Its only part time, I have a 2nd part time job as a support worker with a fella with complex learning disabilities. I have a 3rd support worker job, doing odd shifts to cover sickness and holidays in a detox unit for alcoholics - only a couple months, but good overtime.

Query is that as I have always worn my own clothes to worn, no uniform provided, can I reclaim tax to cover cost of work clothes? All my support worker jobs have been hard on my work clothes - I do a lot of personal care tasks, cleaning tasks, far to many of my clother have bleech spots. Its a fresh outfit for each shift, and sometimes a change of clothes is needed during a shift - twice in last 4 weeks.

    Dani

You can re-apply once they remove then re-upload the jobs. I failed my test first time but I had never done that sort of work before so didn't know what to expect. So glad I re-applied. :D

I've now been waiting 4 months for a phone call after I had passed all assessments and had confirmation email , Is this unusual to wait this long because I am starting to think I will not be offered a position.Has anyone else been waiting this long ??
