Tracksuit bottoms will be fine. They will probably tell you on the first day where you are likely to be placed, but things can change. They will take all your bank details and get you to fill out all the paperwork during the Manpower induction on the first day.0

Take home pay after training will be circa £350 for days, depending on your tax code (£11.95 ph), this is the same as what you will get during training.
If you are lucky(?) enough to get onto nights or shifts, the night rate is £15.93, with different scales in between depending on type of shift pattern. Plus after 12 working weeks you will get a attendance bonus of just under £30 per week.
Safety boot; I have seen some with material tabs in Brantano http://www.brantano.co.uk/men/urban-territory/leveller-grey-br_2744401461?params=fh_secondid%3dbr_2744401461%26fh_lister_pos%3d3%26fh_location%3d%252f%252fbrantano%252fen_GB%252fcategories%253c%257bbrantano_br_men%257d%252fbr_search_estyle%253e%257bsafety20boots%257d%26fh_eds%3d%25c3%259f%26fh_refview%3dlister
