I have to disagree with some of that. I don't know what block your based in, but in BIW. Management are great for the best part. There will always be that us and them culture, but by segregating ourselves even further will not help the situation. Management haven't treated us with half the contempt that the union have. You must realise that the majority of the workforce now is Jag, and that's jag protecting their investment ( which is what we are essentialy, tools to be used) if your not fulfilling that role, or are surplus to needs then you will be no longer used. No one is under the illusion that were not expendable, even the FT workers. The union ain't helped the situation but made it worse.

" If you don't engage people and don't act like your part of the team, then don't be suprised if your not here in the future".

Oh thats were im going wrong then mate! Not being a teamplayer or engaging with others. Damn Ive never tried that in all the 3 months ive been here, Just remind me how long you have been here again?

Thanks for the advice Punk Il try to be more proactive, If all else fails I'l see you in the dole cue, I'l be the one standing behind you mate.
  • Punk, there are employees here that do go out of their way to blame the temps with anything and treat us as though we have 2 heads. I'd be very surprised if any of us was offered a perm contracts in the years to come. We are expendable cover and Manpower are one of the most useless companies I have worked for. The fact that we wear JLR uniforms is just to amke us think we're part of it, but we're clearly not. I expect us all to get laid off in the new year and re-hired at 70%.

I'm not here to get into a slanging match. I'm just merely making the point that, if they don't see you as an equal for whatever reason, then by pushing away from that and saying " Your Jag, were Manpower" is merely playing into their hands.

And you think that would be different in any other job? All i say is go speak to the guys who have come over from Aston Martin, and ask them how they were treated and what they were paid.

Punks still in the honeymoon period dont be to harsh on him, his Manpower / JLR Brianwashing bubble will soon burst!
Reality is a hard pill to swollow.

@Alright Dave, didnt transfer over mate, straight in as a Manpower Agency worker 3 months ago, my thoughts same as yours lay you off xmas 8 weeks rehire on new 70% contract.
Nothing we can do about it and they know it.

That's really quite patronising. Working there for 3 months hardly makes you a authority on the subject.

It's only a proposal for staff starting after january 1st. Current manpower staff remain unaffected.

Didnt say I was an authority on anything mate!

Its obviously rattled your cage and you dont like the fact that other forum members have differant opinions to yours!

Just remind us how long have you been at JAG?

You are obviously the authority on all things Jag, with your few weeks service and your countless opinions / posts submitted.

Obviously makes you feel important, but please stop giving it the big I AM, your just a small fish in a big pond just like the rest off.

Do everyone a favour, Take a break from the forum Punk and calm down dear, calm down!

I for one wont waste another second on you ,
    Goodbye and good riddance. :rotfl::j:T:rotfl:

  • There's no point in arguing with each other, we have no influence in the decision so no point worrying about it or turning on each other. Just hope that we can't build them fast enough, that'll be the only thing that keeps us in a job.
