You're missing the point. The idea is to CHEAT one months worth of stamps out of us.:mad::mad:

I think you may be the one missing the point - you still get the stamps, and with rather less work to do for them. ;)
  • I have just finished my training and have just started receiving SMARTS. Just a quick question if anyone knows please....I have 2 letters to send out with 2 SMARTS enclosed. I checked Online and only one of the address details show a SMART number . It is blank in the other address box that shows SMART status. What do I do with the 2nd SMART - post it With the 2nd address envelope or not ? Thanks
I'm sure this site makes me spend more than I save

The online information is supposed to be more up to date so I would suggest you do not enclose it.

As long as the Smart has not been allocated to a particular item, you should be able to use it with another letter.

Sometimes I get letters which say please return the contents of this envelope back to us next Friday. I quickly run out of the large grey envelopes and despite requests for more I am not receiving any. How many of these items do i collect before returning them ? I also read that you do not need to return them anymore....can anyone clarify please ?
  • I had this issue when I first started and I phoned them. They advised that you keep the SMART and throw the paper away. You only need to return a SMART if it shows on the Return section on your panel.

You do not need to send anything back anymore. They are just using up old inserts. :)

On the training notes for the unaddressed survey (on the News and Features page on the website) it seems to say to include ALL leaflets and stuff that comes through the door - not just those from the postman.

"Unaddressed mail is mail that is not addressed directly to a current or prior household occupant. This category of mail includes takeaway menus, catalogues, local newspapers, insurance leaflets, and promotional literature."

I'm still a bit confused as to what we are supposed to be logging, there are no notes under the Training section, though I just came on here to check and see it's under the news section, very handy Kantar!!

We get so many leaflets each day not from the postman so am I supposed to log them, why would RM want that info? Also didn't it say we'd get 6-10 items a week - well maybe from the postman yes but from any other source of junk being put through our door it's LOADS of things so if we have to log all that it's far too much to bother doing and fairly impossible in flats.

Also today the postman has put 2 more bundles of leaflets through with the post, they are not showing on the section underneath where it lists specific items but knowing Kantar if it's anything like the posted items for the main panel we had to identify they will come on days after they have been delivered...

They could have just sent one email explaining exactly and clearly what they want logged..

I know! I'm still confused too. Especially as there's a space to log the number of items that arrive on a Sunday - Royal Mail won't be delivering anything then, will they?

My understanding is that you have to look out for the specific items shown - the 4 on my page all arrived last week so dealt with and no more showing for this first 3 week session.

As far as the other unaddressed mail is concerned, I believe you should only be listing the items delivered by the postman and ignoring those from other drops.

Don't know why they included Sunday but perhaps as Xmas approaches we might get Sunday deliveries!! Anyway, I just entered 0 to bring the data up to date.

I think the main point is to try and identify the pictured mail and don't worry yourself too much about the other because sometimes if you are not at home when the post comes it is difficult to tell who the junk came from anyway.
