Don't know if I'm allowed to do this or not, if not mods just remove and a thousand apologies.
I used to do this myself ages ago and ended up with tons of stamps and ended up giving a load away, and now I'm running short, Doh!
So anyone want to sell me some 2nd class stamps, if so how much do you want for 12 x 2nd class.

Box at my local post office is a brass slot in the wall, in the window of the post office is a poster with the opening and last collection times, at the bottom of the poster is the box number
I have to agree that not all Post Office post boxes have numbers.
I went to a big village recently on my way through for work and went to the Post office - no number on the box (which is inside the PO).
Could not find it for love nor money. Emailed TNS and they gave me the link someone else had and it was not listed.
They told me to pick another one in the same village and use that!!0 -

you're probably quite right, you shouldn't be asking for someone to sell you some cheap stamps....but just to clarify, the panelists dont get sent second class stamps,so wouldn't be able to sell you those....each panelist is sent a book of 12 first class stamps and 4 large letter stamps per month that they remain on the panel.
However could I suggest that you perhaps have a look on ebay for some stamps that are sold less than face value, you might pick up what you need there, frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

If I need to post one in the future then not sure how I would convince the PO staff that I just feel like paying twice, since my PO is quite clued up on the cube sized parcels - they even have a box to demonstrate.
At my PO the other day, the girl behind the counter said I was overpaying for a normal packet, should only have been £2 something.
I just shrugged and told her that the company I was dealing with sent the SAE packets out...then cheekily added "if they want to waste their millions on wrong postage, fine with me!"
So, funnily enough, received July stamps today, and a printed message saying that the box should actually be priced at 300p!
Probably not TNS looking at this thread though, they would have sent out the packet a while ago...0 -
Got accepted to panel last month and been sent two postage assignments, but now i've got an email saying they're oversubscribed so my place on the panel has been suspended
has anyone else had this?

Yes that seems to happen quite frequently....hang on a while you may even find that you are sent another email saying you're back on the panel....it does seem that over the past few months its been very unpredictable with joining/rejoining the panelfrugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

I've received an email from TNS today telling me that my time as an active panel member is coming to an end in the next couple of weeks. I've only been on the panel since March so was not expecting this yet. Is this normal? I thought it was 6 months on, 6 months off0

its suppose to be 6mths on 6 months off, - but I was rested march last yr and am still waiting - when I have emialed them been told theres no space.xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
It depends on the other people they've recruited in your area. When I was rested, I was back on the panel 3 months later. There doesn't seem to be a definitive timescale as such. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0
