I have had a couple of items to post recently which have said to add a smart on the paper postal schedule I have recieved but not said to add a smart on the online postal schedule. I usually prepare my items off of the paper postal schedule making a note of smart code and then log on and enter the information online later on. I'm not sure whether to follow the paper or online schedule and take the smarts out when it doesn't say to add a smart online!0

Debralee, I had exactly the same issue a few days ago and spoke with a chap from rm surveys. He advised me to follow the online schedule. He stated the online schedule is the more up to date one and should 'trump' the paper version if there is any discrepancy re smarts. Hope this helps."...and in the end, the love you take, is equal to the love you make".0

Debralee - I spend a bit of time on a Saturday morning setting up the postings for the week ahead. Just stuff like addressing envelopes, sticking on labels etc. But I'll always confirm things like SMART numbers online before sealing the package.Because it's fun to have money!

I use both. I go by the paper schedule, and then double check the online schedule, making sure the advanced columns section is visible.
I suppose you could be super organised and put a post it note on each parcel/letter with the date/time to be posted + whether it has to be put in the post box or taken to the post office?Save you having to find the paper or sign in online!

Hi.
I've just recieved my first 2 letters. Do I post before the date on the paper, or on that day?
Thanks0 -

Though the intention would be to remove it before posting, it has been known for some to forget - but better than writing on the back of the envelope itself!
I use a concertina file and place items in appropriate sections, keeping the printed schedule with the next item to be posted. It works if you use the file for other things too (like theatre tickets, birthday cards to send, etc) so that you check it daily.0 -

The 1 date is next Tuesday and the other is next Wednesday. So I'll be ok posting both on Thurs?
