This may be common knowledge but I've just found the site linked below. If you need to find a local postbox just enter a postcode and it will return the locations of the nearest postboxes on a nice Google map. It misses out one box near me but it seems quite accurate apart from that.

I meant something similar is on the RM website - under manage my postboxes, click register new postbox and then click search postbox ID
