Do you fill in the online form to say you have posted in a Post office, or do you enter the details of the post box you have used? (That is if you have used a post box for a letter that was suposed to into a post office?)
You select the post box you actually used: you don't make it up to fit the posting plan.0 -
Hi all,
Ive been on training for a few a few weeks now onto smarts, with training the post office time slot of after 1pm was fine but now they want 10-1pm for one item, I have lunch 1-2 at work so what do I do?, my dad can post it but tbh dont want to keep bothering him with it. Can I just post after 1pm?, the post office ones are a pain, post box are easy.0 -

Post it when it is convient to you, the times are a guide not essential just make sure you enter the time and where you have posted it from. I post all mine from the same 2 post boxes depending if it is from the post office or post box, I only make 1 trip a day and often post it well before the time stated, I record the actual time I posted it.0 -
Thanks will post it after 1 then.0

The post office I use has also moved recently so the number on the box relates to the old address. I have emailed TNS to let them know and they said that as long as the number is correct then it doesn't matter if it is a box or a post office..
I'm in a similar position - a sub post office closed around 5 years ago, leaving just a post box, but they still have it as a post office; and a new sub post office opened several miles away, but they still have that as only a post box.
Really makes you wonder why they bother stating that some items should be posted at a post office when half the time they don't know which is which0 -

My post office doesn't have a post box, it only has a window which you can open to put parcels in (if prepaid)
But the survey site seems to think the post box 20 seconds walk away is in the post office.0 -
Im not sure where the insult was?
did you see the part in red i highlighted?
I know all about RMs delivery methods and I can tell you I dont know any built up areas in the UK that dont have 'drop boxes' unless they have been built post delivery redesign
When I said by van,I didnt mean they would need the van right beside the box. I meant they dont do collections on foot. ergo you do one box and go back to the van.
not do one collection and walk to the next.
Eg a pillar box with drop box
There are no drop boxes round here. I have never seen one in my life- obv in these rural parts things are old fashioned. Once upon a time, they put a stamp selling drop box type thing on the main postbox outside the post office, it didn't get used and they took it away again.
I'm sure you know a lot about RM, but you I am certain, do not know it all. It might be helpful to bear this in mind and that things may differ in different parts of the UK.Minimalist

Which would be why my post says built up areas0 -
For the last 2 or 3 weeks SMARTs received have been pretty well non-existent. And items to post have dropped to 2 or 3 a week. Both a welcome reduction!
Been doing this for far too long now without a break - is this a sign that I'm about to get one?0 -

I've just posted my first test item for my second 6 months of the surveys, glad there are only two for the week as I only finished in November, lol, my memory isn't that bad. Just hoping they don't give me the "we currently have no places in your area" when I finish like they have done to some other members on here. I hope they can get these surveys in hand because its too chaotic at the moment, I've noticed a few people wondering if its worth continuing...2020 Wins:
