I couldnt take my hand written into the post office today as I go there and it was closed. Im assuming now that I take it in next Friday (Same time schedule etc.)
blergh
If you have something to post at PO, you do not have to hand it in. Just post it in the box outside unless of course it is too large an item.
I also post PO items at the box outside our sorting office which is OK with them.0 -

In the absence of clear instructions I think I know which one I'll choose...
They are a little treat for you like the special stamps that are sent out occasionally.
You are lucky I have never ever received an Easter treat & I have done this for 6 years.:(0 -
I've been doing the royal mail survey thing for over a year now and yes you get paid in stamps for the test items postings but I was invited to take part in other surveys and I get paid in love2shop vouchers every month. I've had over £100 in vouchers which came in handy at Christmas.
It's not a hard task to complete the surveys, you just need to be organised.
And for those complaining about why you need to post at certain times of the day, it's because royal mail do multi collections throughout the day. The latest time on the post box is the last collection!0 -
Well it seems I've finished training and am back on the normal panel.
I realised this when the Postman knocked on the door today and handed me two big envelopes from TNS containing posting guides, info sheets, schedules & stickers, 6 items to post, 6 smarts, a smart return envelope, 2 x books of stamps and a presentation set of Jane Austen stamps. Phew, glad I was in!0 -
I received 16 stamps and 2 letters to post to Mr WH, then another 2 letters for him the next week, but haven't received any more packs for 1 week and there's no posting plan on the website. Is this normal or have I done something wrong?
Hi
No, mine was the same. Two weeks of posting, nothing then another two weeks.
Received my posting plan this morning and my schedule is to post on Friday plus next week Monday.:)Sealed Pot Challenge No 089-Finally got a signature.:rotfl::j0 -

No they don't, I used to work for Royal Mail (long before I started doing the survey) - unless there is more than one collection time on the box then its only emptied once a day - most post boxes are nowhere near full even by the end of the day. Some city centre boxes have two collections a day and it will state this on the box if that is so. They do sometimes collect from post offices (even small ones) twice a day (I've worked in a post office as well, lol, I've had a lot of jobs) but most of us are not using post offices for the majority of the mail. I asked Kantar about this and they said it was fine to just post everything once a day - check it out for yourself if you don't believe me. They said it is the day (such as Monday) of posting that is important, the rest is flexible.
I used to think this too, but recently I have witnessed the postman emptying the boxes earlier in the day. They have changed the way rounds are done round here now- they've banned postmen from using their bicycles and now they bring the mail up in the van, from the sorting office. They go back to the van multiple times and presumably this allows them to employ less staff and get the rounds done quicker. Anyway, they must take the post back with them, when they're done because it's always a postman on foot emptying the box late morning, when last collection isn't due until 5.15pm. I'm not sure that this happens every day though.Minimalist

If that is the last collection each day surely they would alter the collection day on the box so you could have a look at see if that has happened.
Our post is also done via a van nowadays - means in the week it usually doesn't arrive until the afternoon:mad:. Chatting to our great postie, it is supposedly a cost cutting exercise and not liked by them.0
