Royal Mail Surveys rewarded with Stamps.

I used to think this too, but recently I have witnessed the postman emptying the boxes earlier in the day. They have changed the way rounds are done round here now- they've banned postmen from using their bicycles and now they bring the mail up in the van, from the sorting office. They go back to the van multiple times and presumably this allows them to employ less staff and get the rounds done quicker. Anyway, they must take the post back with them, when they're done because it's always a postman on foot emptying the box late morning, when last collection isn't due until 5.15pm. I'm not sure that this happens every day though.

collections arent done on foot.
Are you sure you are not confusing a delivery drop box with a Pillar box?
These can be tagged onto the side of pillar boxes0 -

I've had over £100 in vouchers which came in handy at Christmas.
It's not a hard task to complete the surveys, you just need to be organised.
And for those complaining about why you need to post at certain times of the day, it's because royal mail do multi collections throughout the day. The latest time on the post box is the last collection!
Treat the posting time and Post Office or Post Box as just a guideline. I post at a time and place which is most convenient for me and that has never been a problem. As long as it gets posted on the correct day that is fine. They don't expect you to cancel your plans and stay in and post between 10am and 1pm if say you were planning to go out for the day and leave home early.0 -

Thanks Custardy- you don't have to be insulting. I am serious, I go to the box sometimes twice in one day what with posting survey items and my own post. They come back at the end of the day with the van to do the final collection- THEN they change the little day tab. But, the postman comes and collects what is in the postbox earlier in the morning, ON FOOT and presumably takes it back to wherever the van is parked. There is barely ever anything more than a handful in the box, so I do wonder why they bother. They bring several vans up to our estate, so he wouldn't have far to walk to take it back to a van. I wouldn't be saying this if I hadn't witnessed it with my own eyes. It's obviously going to be different in each area and I haven't seen them doing this every day. Perhaps it's just one conscientious postman who likes to do it. It's only recently started happening.
Oh and there are NO delivery drop boxes anywhere round here.Minimalist

I have done the RM survey for about 5 years and in all that time only post things once per day. Sometimes I may have an item to post 10-1 and another after 1, I don't make 2 separate journeys nor do I post one in a letter box and one in a post office. I would take both letters and post both in the most convenient to me. Never had a problem, don't make work for yourselves.0

Im not sure where the insult was?
did you see the part in red i highlighted?
I know all about RMs delivery methods and I can tell you I dont know any built up areas in the UK that dont have 'drop boxes' unless they have been built post delivery redesign
When I said by van,I didnt mean they would need the van right beside the box. I meant they dont do collections on foot. ergo you do one box and go back to the van.
not do one collection and walk to the next.
Eg a pillar box with drop box0 -

Have you received an email saying your voucher would be mailed?
Sorry for the delay in responding I have been sick for almost a week.

Yes and no.
Probably worth sending them the invitation email and confirm that you submitted the numbers. Did you keep a note of the numbers and whether any items were pictured? (I do keep a note - which is how I notice when the daily numbers start jumping about.)

Do you fill in the online form to say you have posted in a Post office, or do you enter the details of the post box you have used? (That is if you have used a post box for a letter that was suposed to into a post office?)Wishing you all good luck!

There are 4 post boxes I regularly use. 2 of them state that they are post offices, but they closed last year so are now just post boxes. The post office I use has also moved recently so the number on the box relates to the old address. I have emailed TNS to let them know and they said that as long as the number is correct then it doesn't matter if it is a box or a post office. I also post in a box on my way home from work around 5.20. The last collection time is 5.30 but I have seen the postie emptying it at 7.40 am the next morning on my way to work. The day tab never changes either, it is always Thursday.0
