Just to add, at the end of last week, I was told I was back on, again (third time now). How long will it last this time? A week? Two?

They really need to sort out their procedures - it's farcical. And this is a firm purporting to measure the performance of another! I wouldn't trust their data!

I agree. Started retraining, told off as no space, then on again & currently still only got training post to send. When I contacted them I was told the earlier email had been sent in error and I was definitely on active list.

How many weeks do you have to be retrained? So far I will have done 5. What a waste of time - how can sending a couple of letters to the same person be training?

Is it just me or would stamps be a bit useless?! Who uses stamps these days, I can't even remember the last time I did, that's what email is for! Thank you though op

I use stamps all the time. And (if branded 1st or 2nd rather than with a value) they don't expire, so you can stockpile them if you have too many. And you can sell 'em too, if they're really no use to you.

Email has its limits - you can't send physical items with email!

(but, when the boffins get that star trek style transporter thing finally invented, it may be a different story...)

I used my large letter stamps for the Sun Lego promotion :D. 60p for a letter safe envelope, free stamps, instead of £3.99 to pay P&P!

Prior to that, I used them for postage for sending my clubcard vouchers to Eurotunnel, saving me a fiver!

when I was invited back after the 6 month absence it was 5 weeks of retraining for me before I got to send "real" post and then a further 2 weeks before they reintroduced smarts...

Talking of Smarts, I see from their website that they are introducing different (smaller?) Smarts from this month.

    Hi

The stamps are handy especially when sending books I've sold via Green Metropolis or I have to write to my bank/building society/tax office etc.

    Definably not useless for me

    Not useless for me!

Ebay/Amazon mainly, I especially use the large letter stamps and can just top up 20p/30p if slightly larger item.

Xmas cards/birthday cards - all sent first class and some larger cards need large letter stamps.

Gave some to my mum who had commented how expensive stamps are these days.

I collect used stamps for charity so now I can post packets of these off using the large letter stamps.

Why is it hassle? Thought it would be just posting a few letters every week? I go to the post office anyway to send ebay items, so a few parcels wouldn't be a problem either

Do you get the stamps before you have to do anything, so I could profit and quit after a month if it is too tedious?

It is just posting a few items a week in theory. But, there are time scales to post them by/between (before 10am, 10-1pm, before last posting). Most of mine have to go to the post office, not just a box, and the number I have to post each week is going up and up. Started off at 2 and is now at 8 each week, and recieving about the same, most of the time I have to go to the epost office specifically to post an item for them.

I get the stamps monthly with posting schedules and items to post etc.

I'm not saying don't do it, but just a warning that it's a lot more work that just putting a couple of letters in the box each week.

It is a lot more work than I expected. It is the timings & having to go to a post office so frequently that are the biggest problems for me; I thought there would be more flexilbility when & where I had to post. I'm giving it a month longer to see how I get on.

The stamps are useful to me though, I do still use them (hate e-cards!) & they are quite an expense.
