Can someone please tell me what I do with the SMARTS as I have never received any info from TNS. I know I log them online etc but do I post them in the letter? Do I take them out of the packet? NO Do they have to be inserted into envelope a certain way? NO
They remain in the plastic wrapper and they can go in the envelope anyway they will fit unfolded.0 -
I am in a new build - have been in it for 8 months, but my postcode comes up as invalid on this site!
Companies buy the PAF (Postcode Address File) to use with their systems, some use one off purchases, others subscribe to periodic updates. IIRC most companies go for an annual update, so you might be included in the next update cycle. As RM use resellers for the PAF, it really depends on exactly who Kantar get it from as to when an update may happen.
I don't know what Kantar's system is, but I doubt it will be any different, and it is unlikely that they would be able to do anything either. The PAF is generally locked down to reduce errors caused by people adding data on an ad hoc basis. This will definitely be the case for a system designed to test whether the addresses/delivery works! All they will say is "keep trying".
SPCome on people, it's not difficult: lose means to be unable to find, loose means not being fixed in place. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.0 -
When I moved into a new build a few years ago it took nearly two years for our postcode to be recognised by most "address finders".
They don't get updtaed very often0 -

Yes, we are on postcode finder. I am well aware that different companies update their database at different times - we are experiencing that all the time, sometimes we are on the system, sometimes we aren't. I'm just very surprised that a company carrying out work for Royal Mail do not have access to the most up to date data ... who's checking the quality of deliveries on our estate?
I have e-mailed them.0 -

Most of them are updated monthly now. There are very few that we are not on. and as ^^ I would expect a company carrying out work for Royal Mail to have up to date data.0 -

Same here - moved in 6 years ago, took ~ 2 years for our address to be updated properly.
Just logged into the site and 'unaddressed mail' has added this week too - I think I've been doing it now since November - any idea when it will end?! I vaguely remember 2 emails a while ago, one telling me to do it, one not...ETA -found the emails, they were for a week in February - no indication of when it will end though??
I was supposed to be back on the panel next week after being rested in October, but I haven't received the training pack which I understand I have to do again..."A cat can have kittens in the oven, but that don't make them biscuits." - Mary Cooper
"Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful" - William Morris

Have been doing RM surveys since January this year and until now, only sending small white envelopes. Last week, my package did not arive so I was unable to send yesterdays (which I telephoned TNS about and they said was fine and too ignore this weeks unless it arrives late). This morning I received my package (including yesterdays post out) but this time I have SMARTS.
Can someone please tell me what I do with the SMARTS as I have never received any info from TNS. I know I log them online etc but do I post them in the letter? Do I take them out of the packet? Do they have to be inserted into envelope a certain way?
Also, I have only received one booklet of stamps (back in January). It seems an awful lot of work for a tenners worth of stamps. Should I have received more this month? There are absolutely no stamps in the package I received this morning!
Is it just me or is this whole survey thing very dis organised?
Thanks in advance for your help
Snap I started in January too, I am due to post out 2 letters tomorrow and have only received the posting pack today with 2 Smarts. I am due to post out 3 letters next week 2 of which should include a Smart but neither of them match the ones I have. Hopefully some more will arrive soon. I have emailed them about the stamps but had no reply yet.0
