I have a number of stamps from Christmas before last - don't ask, they were a gift. As it is obvious how much was paid for them despite the fact that they only say first class can they be used or would I need to use 2 instead of one to make sure the recipient does not have to pay a surgarge?0
-
If they say 1st on them then they are still valid for 1st class use and you only need to use 1.0

stamps are sold right up to every price rise

It certainly wasn't nonsense what I said, even if sales haven't been fully suspended.

I placed an order on line with Royal Mail for 10 books of 2nd class stamps on Saturday - the money still has not been taken from my bank account and no delivery - and when I log on to my royal mail account - I am faced by "Error: Problem encountered - Display process failure"
I have emailed customer services and received a response - that I should expect a reply within 12 days !!0 -
Royal Mail really are bar stewards:

So - you reckon that royal mail will wait 2 weeks before dealing with my order at the increased price ?
If this happens - there will be HELL to PAY !!0 -

They can't do that - if you put an order through and the confirmation said £x, they can't charge your card more without your permission.0 -
But they could refuse the order.0
