Question...

In my add/remove programs I have loads of Windows XP Security Updates, Internet Explorer Security Updates. Are these still needed as they are installed or do they need to remain?

If you highlight any of those Security updates and then Remove they will be uninstalled - you need to keep these.

After doing all of closed's thread, this is my hijackthis log - I've rid myself of superantispyware but it's still showing and Blingee toolbar? No idea what that is (Well I do, I just can't find it!) Can't uninstall AOL unfortunately as people use it and won't let me change ISP.

ISP = AOL and i'm using a modem.

Thanks, i've tried the uninstaller on your link and will reboot shortly.

I had disabled Java but i've done so again.

Have disabled the Nero bits and will now uninstall CD Burner then reboot

No that's not my home page. I don't use IE but just loaded it up to check and it's Google? Unless someone elses desktop IE has that as a homepage?
