Well the meeting was wonderful, door was opened by aunt's niece on her husband's side, birth mother was standing in the hall. A guy came in who is some relative of aunt's, very pleasant and he has said he will bring them over to see me

Stayed about 1.5 hours, just right, held her hand the whole time.

Will visit again with my son.

Another one coming out of the woodwork, what a lovely thread, I am at work with tears streaming down my face, I come on MSE everyday but rarely post, I felt compelled to, its odd really how a strangers story can have such an impact, all the best SDW.

oh SDW I am so pleased that it went well.

14 years ago I met 3 of my sisters that until a few months before I didn't know existed, it was incredibly emotional so I can in some small way appreciate what a big day it was for you both.

I hope you can have lots of meetings again in the future.

That is really fantastic news.

Like so many other MSE people I was wondering how the meeting went. So very glad it went so well and that you were welcomed by all the family members you met. What a lovely outcome after all these years.
