Just stumbled onto this thread, read the first post and the last page before going back and reading the whole thread. Had to restrain myself from jumping to the end when I spotted that you'd come back online to update after your meeting.

I'm a bit choked up and so happy that it all worked out for you and you gain a whole 'other' family.

Congratulations and best wishes for the future.

AAAAwwwwwwwwwwww youve made me cry! I am so happy for you all!!!
  • How wonderful! I'm so thrilled for you and your birth mother. It's lovely to think that by you being so kind and thoughtful in the way you contacted her - not pushy at all and keen to put her at ease - you must have today made her one of the happiest people around!

None of us truly know what goes on in another persons head but giving up your child, whatever the circumstances, must be so dreadful. Then to have the child find you and be so kind and non-judgemental and secure in her upbringing with the people that chose her, must be a wonderful outcome for her and must give her a lot of peace.

It says a lot about your strength of character too S and about your mum (who brought you up) - she must have done a fantastic job.

    I'm so pleased for you.

Best line ever. How healing that must be for your BM.

    Wonderful.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.
