that's lovely news, and I'm another who seconds sending the photos sooner (I'm a birth mother who's daughter got in touch 9 years ago and the wait between contacts was unbearable once I'd heard from her the first time - and our contact was by email which is much quicker anyway)
I hope the re-union goes well too
all the best

I think that is a good move. I am quite ridiculously excited:o for you, it is strange that we all get so involved with people on the net whom we have never met. I so want this to go well for you.0 -

SDW - that is just the most amazing news, you must be so happy. I'm glad that you're sending photos sooner, your BM must now be longing for those pictures to arrive.
I really do hope that all works out well - for all involved - and that you get a chance to meet up in the near future.
Keep us updated!

Am so very pleased for you that the lady was indeed you BM and that she is happy to have contact with you. Did your Aunt know about you? I bet she can't wait to see if there's any resemblance between you and her family members !0

I don't know whether Aunt knew or not, suspect she did as it was her who rang on BM's behalf (although I did speak to BM too - I think the phone is difficult for her because she is deaf, they had it on speakerphone, I could hear Aunt telling BM what I was saying).(AKA HRH_MUngo)

It's exciting but I guess a bit scary still though, or do you feel very comfortable with it all?
Did you know much about the circumstances of your adoption, SDW? You may have stated earlier on the thread but I have heard a few adoption stories in the last few days and they are all muddling in to each other.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0
