Let's leave it up to that independent observer to judge who the mature, rational, sensible one is here, eh?
You think it's you, We can make allowances for that.
You having a laugh? The disgraceful posts you have made over the weekend.0 -
uptomyeyeballs wrote: »The difference between Cardew's list tariff total and mine :
I selected 'All Payments Types', he restricted his to 'Monthly DD'.
He restricted his list selection, I didn't. I didn't pre-judge. He did. :-)
Do you really not understand that on 'all payment types' that UW were not in 36th position as you stated?
On the list where UW were 36th on the list there were only 73 tariffs.
I asked for the link that showed UW in 36th position with 118 tariffs below.
In response you gave a completely different list in which UW were not in 36th position.
You are the one that has mixed up the two lists not I.
Quite seriously - have you not understood that?
Or do you understand that you are wrong and are just blustering?
It can only be one of those situations.
What about the 25p a month - still avoiding that issue?
Have you not learnt from the old adage 'if you are in a hole and want to escape - stop digging'
You should learn tactics from your leader - he gets 'his people' working on the issue and hopes it won't be raised again.
Anyway if nothing else we are both agreed now that for your consumption UW are over 30% more expensive than the cheapest tariff - and that is all the 'independant observer' really need to know isn't it?0 -
Well I've done it folks! I've changed supplier, so will no longer use UW for gas and electric. I have been looking into this recently and as I no longer get my broadband with UW, and as Cardew pointed out my consumption will be increasing in the future as I will be at home with a new born I had to find a better deal. I will be keeping my phone with UW as I need to keep the cashback card as this is to good to give up.
I am slightly worried about changing suppliers as I have been with UW for many years and was very poorly treated by Npower previously. I will give them a fair chance though. I will still pop by occasionlly to say hi to you all, as I do feel like UW can work well for some people and the cashback card is an excellent selling point for UW. I have also received excellent customer service from them, with no reason to complain, I just hope the transfer goes through without problem.:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

uptomyeyeballs wrote: »I only ever posted one list. As I said, how that list is sorted, restricted or looks is entrirely up to your own computer cookies. Mine was set to list 'All payment types', yours clearly wasn't. Hence your list was shorter than mine. Before any of this was established as fact, you popped your cork.
I'd already quoted my results from 160+ tariffs before I even gave you the link to the site I was using!
My point was to refute your claim that UW was 'almost the most expensive tariff'.
End of story.
How many times do we have to say this!
You did not, and have not, posted a list with UW figuring in 36th position with with 118 tariffs below.
You were the one who stated UW were in 36th position
That list that showed UW in 36th position listed 73 tariffs.
Seriously can you not understand this? I can't think of another way of explaining it to you.0 -
Higgins-Sons wrote: »as a UW customer and distributor i joined as a customer first before i decided to join as a distributor and i am very pleased with my bills and the customer service i recieve from UW ......
You would say that here!
Another uw rep who comes here has posted here that he finds the customer service "very helpful and knowledgeable".
Yet elsewhere he has in fact complained to other uw reps he has experienced some "atrocious" customer service from uw!
Another uw rep tells us in every post he makes that he, like you, is "very happy" with uw. But elsewhere he shows a different face, and goes so far as to say he wishes uw would stop selling energy, and that he is "uneasy" when tiscussing the worthless guarantee with nbew prospects he wants to sign up.
So forgive us if we need a large pinch of salt to accept what you have joined here to tell us!0 -
uptomyeyeballs wrote: »36th, 46th, whatever, the difference is about a fiver.
The issue as you well know(well I think you do:rolleyes:) is not the fiver.
It is about you telling me I was wrong about UW being 36th on a list of 73.
To prove your point you posted a completely different list with a mocking invitation for people to count the tariffs.
You should be totally embarrassed about your performance and attitude, yet you don't appear embarrassed - or perhaps you still don't understand??
What about the 25p a month - yet another failed attempt to be smart and failing miserably; no mention of that in subsequient posts and no apparent embarrassment when that sleight of hand was exposed - or perhaps you simply don't understand.
As for your declared aim, all you have proved is that on either table(36th or 46th) that UW are well over 30% more expensive than the cheapest!
If that is achieving your aim, I would hate to see you failing to achieve your aim.
In fact just to demonstrate just how big an 'own goal, your whole series of posts have been, you might consider this fact.
For the average UK user paying by DD for 20500kWh/3300kWh, UW are normally much further down the list and are generally in 65th to 67th place out of 73 tariffs. However they are 'only' approx 22% more expensive. (WHICH magazine, as you are aware, state 20%)
So your insistance in demonstrating that, for your consumption, UW is over 32% more expensive than the cheapest, would in most 'independant observers' eyes be counter productive.
The similarity between you and keggs is remarkable! i.e. little knowledge, get things totally wrong, bluster when faced with inescapable facts.0 -
Quentin, I am happy as a customer with UW and am also a distributor. I have never posted anything contrary to that.Quentin's Cashback Card?

Hi All
I see today's threads are, in general, hitting a new low.
What is the argument about relative positions of UW on a list of providers?
Surely any list will change very regularly as any provider changing an aspect of their tariff will result in a change in "positions".
Surely both "posters" were correct in their individual assertions. One claiming that UW were NOT at the bottom of the list and the other claiming that generally they would be NEAR the bottom of the list. Who actually cares whether they are 36th or 47th or any other number. The number of posts going back and forth was demonstrable of the polarity of the discussions on this thread.
Well done to Janninew for making the decision to change suppliers - I guess she could make that decision as she wasn't tied into some penalty-ridden provider.
My real concern would be that she is letting her hormone surge affect her judgement (This is a joke janninew - just trying to lighten the atmosphere).
I hope everything goes fantastically well with your impending bundle of joy. They do say the first 25 years are the worst - although I think that number goes up by a year every year. :rotfl:
We have an 18 year old bundle of joy who has no intention of flying the nest unless we pay him a substantial sum to make it worth his while. That's the problem with being brought up by accountants.
I hope everybody has a great day
Mike

Thank you
A very warm welcome to the forum.
What website would that be please?
How have you got copyright from people posting on a website?
Where in the WHICH mag are UW awarded Best Buy for energy? Cos they aint not never had that award?
What do you mean by "getting the credit"
We tend to ridicule the UW IDs who make untrue or misleading statements on this forum - You know like claiming WHICH have awarded UW Best Buy for energy.
P.S.

QUENTIN HAVE YOU GOT YOUR CASHBACK CARD HANDY!
I do recall your website.
You were advertising for "just a few caring people" (qualifications required: £200) to join you to "distribute some wonderful free products", and in return they would be given a repeating monthly income for life.
I pointed out that you were actually looking for gullibles to join uw, though it was quite hard to spot that from your advert:Due to a huge upsurge demand in people wanting to save money, we need just a few more caring people 18 years or over, to help distribute some wonderful free products and services, work from the comfort of your own home, Car, office etc, part time or full time it’s your choice.
