I thought you had to declare that you worked for BG everytime you posted though?

This was covered by Martin some while back and the ruling was in line with Swanjon's post:

Post#71 in this thread:

The rules have always been simple, if you are engaged in a discussion where you work for a company involved, then you should mention it. However it shouldn't be in your signature as it is only for relevant posts.

If anyone has a problem with the fact someone is posting and appears to be touting for business or misleading then as always there is NO need to react to it - simply e-mail abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

All the best

In my view, you should let everybody know (on first post and regular intervals) on this thread and any other that is related to your company's industry because it naturally follows that your opinion may be biased. I do mean "may" and not "will." I checked with TPTB and they recommended once a day, if like this thread pages are generated rapidly. I try and mention my involvement with Utility Warehouse every page as we sometimes get several here. :j

Sorry Jannine - I never meant to suggest it hadn't happened. While it has never happened to me enough people have mentioned it for me to believe it happens.

It was an allegation, it doesn't mean I don't believe you.

I think npower are a major shareholder, or something simliar - you'll need to ask Carmine - he's the share man.

Fair enough, I haven't read the whole thread, would take me ages! Maybe Martin needs to update the first post, as I see the company are called Telecom Plus!

Yet what do we have on this forum, closed ranks from the UW IDs and sympathisers.
I think it is at least in part because of the other detractors and your failure to admit that Utility Warehouse has some good points that will benefit customers.

I am an independent distributor with Utility Warehouse and the views I express may not be shared by the company.

Which I stand by, as does my neighbour. Its not an allegation, its a fact which happened this morning. Also do npower own UW now? I would complain about any energy comapny (UW included) who wil stand on my door step and tell complete lies just to get a sale.

Janninew,
We are back to the fact that English is not your native tongue.

It is an allegation - it really is!

Just to add to my previous post, I thought that link you gave was from this discussion Cardew. I see its a different thread entirely. Are the rules not different on this thread, due to the nature of it?

Close enough and anybody who tells lies to gain customers is in the wrong. Mistakes can happen, I know I make them, and they can often be forgiven with just an apology.

Ok then I accept its an allegation against npower! A serious one that they will be hearing about!

Depends if it really happened. If the incident actually occurred, it is a matter of fact. If we are talking about proving the doorstep sales person has done something wrong, then it is as you say, an allegation.
