You "forgot" to highlight the other unanswered "honest" question which never got treated with respect which was posed by uw rep Decado23 (who insults us by expecting us to believe he is so ignorant of how his competitors operate!):Decado23 wrote:incidentally, does anybody here know if existing customers on one of the numbered tarrifs (eg websaver 6, sign online 16 etc) from the big 6 automatically get transferred to the latest version, or do they have to keep a constant eye on the tarrifs themselves and request a change if appropriate?
Then to compound this uw cynicism, his uw colleague AvengerSeawolf gets on his high horse and suggests this is a perfectly reasonable question which we would all benefit from learning the answer to. (Though declines to help lift Decado23's veil of ignorance by supplying him the answer!)0 -

Free swims and free £100's aren't free at all, they are complimentary. You pay for them along with your energy.
How much extra do uw gullibles have to pay to get their £100? (Bearing in mind the uw charge of 20% on top of the cheapest tariffs seems the norm according to Which?)?0 -

That would be because I don't know the answer.
When are you going to 'get it'. We're in sales - I promote what UW give me, I have no need/desire to know every tariff and t&c that a competitor offers because I can do nothing to change them. I can only offer what I represent, and if it appeals it will be taken, if not it won't...Utility Warehouse Distributor/Professional Network Marketer0 -

Exactly! But they are 'dressed up' to make them more appealing to the masses. My point is that £100 is more appealing than a free swim.
You say I get on my 'high horse' - ironic from someone who puts themselves in the exalted position of UW Know-It-All, feeling no shame at your arrogance referring to people as 'gullibles'. A rude, sad little man.Utility Warehouse Distributor/Professional Network Marketer0 -

..and also what if:
1) Having learned I can get all my services on one bill, I want to do so?
2) The partner stores on the card are places I frequent, and I like the idea of being able to reduce my bill?
3) I want to be able to speak to someone quickly about my account/services?
4) I want to be able to reduce my bill even further by recommending my friends and family?
5) I want to be with a company that is innovative and can/will be able to offer me other services which can go on the same bill in the future?
Just a few I can think of right now, but surely you take my point - it's what I as the consumer want in my own particular circumstances.Utility Warehouse Distributor/Professional Network Marketer0 -

Your attitude to other people posting on this thread is actually quite disgusting.
What other way is there to say un-objective and inaccurate?
You ‘popped in’ just over a week ago. Since then you have posted 40+ times on this thread, purporting to be a legal expert, all totally in support of UW without any objectivity or balance.
Wearing your self-certified ‘legal’ hat you have asked for ‘facts’, yet are quite happy to post statements that are inaccurate.
You have frequently been asked to justify certain specific statements, yet have ignored those requests, preferring to make facetious remarks about people posting on this thread. Yet my attitude is apparently disgusting!!!
You then have the gall to feign outrage when challenged. You would do well to look up the definition of arrogant, and armed with that knowledge, review your posts.0 -

I suppose this all helps to explain the connection between gullibles and the uw!
Who do you think the uw gets the £100 from it freely "gives" as a bonus? (Clue: The customer has to pay for just about the most expensive tariffs available for over a year to get the free £100)0 -
Uptomyeyeballs, are you a UW customer? Easy question, far easier than finding a libellous post.0

I've just informed the missus that there's someone on MSE calling us gullible for using UW. Her response? Are they OK in the head?
:p
We're so gullible we're paying £29 this month for
Gas 285
Electric 352
Unlimited broadband
Phone Line Rental
ALL calls (over 300, some to international destinations)
Free calls to UW CS/tech support
£10,000 accidental death insurance
PAPER bill
One DD
I'll chuck you detractors a morsel - find me a cheaper price than £29 for just the gas and electric. We'll forget about the phone line/broadband/calls, eh?Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
The website, or my PC, was playing up last night so a re-post!
Somebody comes on and posts the above quote in praise of UW and 'knocking' BG and immediately gets thanked by a couple of UW IDs.
Now as far as I can see the post is total and utter rubbish. However not a UW salesman sees fit to comment - two merely add thanks and hope the incorrect message influences a potential customer.
Imagine if somebody posted incorrect information about BG prices being much cheaper than they actually are, the UW brigade would have a field day.
Would any UW rep/shareholder care to comment on patman99's post?
P.S.
It did occur to me that the comment "Oh! another UW customer" was an expression of sympathy and an acceptance that any rational explanation of UW's very high gas and electricity prices would be futile.
Yet another arrogant reply. I am sure patman99 posted his comment just so you can flame him. Have you ever thought for one minute that he or she might actually be telling the truth. No, of course you didn't. Your blinkered viewpoint only sees one thing.
What a surprise.
And I thought Quentin was the only obsessive around here.0
