    Sorry, I forget I have to spell things out S L O W L Y for you to understand.

The issue is not what the BG salesman said to Patman - although on BG's tariff it is obviously incorrect.

    Patmant99 stated:

I maintain that is not correct - yet you saw fit to thank him.

So the question is do you believe this is the truth? I prefer to believe his truth than yours.

Do you understand the question - I mean really understand? You can maintain whatever you like. Don't be so bl***dy patronising. How dare you.

patman99 gave his figures which correspond with Manweb's area the same area I am in. You have assumed he lives in the Eastern area. He didn't state this. And even if he did his tariff from UW is actually better than he told people here. He could quite easily have been mistaken. But even if he was he is still getting a better deal.

Are you going to answer Carmine's challenge? Or are you going to mysteriously disappear again like Quentin's non existent Cashback card? You arrogant buffoon.

Unless another ID has a latest tariff booklet I am sitting next to the latest tariff booklet I have in my possession. If there have been any changes I doubt they differ much. I will list each one for each area if you like for each of the 3 user types. However to save yime the lowest tariff for standard users is 10.350 and the highest 11.807. Night rate economy 7 is 3.50 for all regions

    How about answering Carmine's challenge.

Fine, Sign up with OVO energy, use your amount of Kwh in my area and it will cost you £49.76 by my estimate.

Over the last month I got around 700 points on my tesco clubcard, worth £28

Take that off the cost of the gas and electricity (the same way you do with your cashback card) and I make that £21.76 for the gas and electricity.

As the meerkat would say.. "Simples" ;)

Edit: My mistake, I was using the wrong prices for OVO, They would actually cost £47.84 making the overall cost £19.84

:rotfl:I like you, PC. Trousers at least up to your ankles now (unlike Cardew who's still trews-less).
    Call me Carmine....

HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??

Better than being bent over with them round my ankles when UW whack their prices up with everyone else next year.
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)

Coming from a uw rep who uses this forum to promote his company, there's a nice turn of phrase.

I'd better check to see if I have a min term commitment and exit fee, wait a mo. No, just checked.

Carmine, if you remove the bell wires (pin 3 on the master socket) from your extension wiring you should get an increase in speed. But to get a benchmark log on to your router to obtain the router statistics , speedtest results are a bit variable.
    List of modem/routers here:-

You'd like to get this thread closed, but just coming here and abusing people like that will only end up in you getting locked out!

Thanks for that, Penrhyn, but I'm notoriously ham-fisted with such things and we'd probably be without broadband of any speed if i had a go :o Looking at the socket, it would appear to be the one where you don't require an i-plate (mate is a BT engineer) so i'm assuming the bell wire is already isolated? At least the speed is rock solid.
