Hi guys
Just a reminder that hitting the spam button removes the whole thread and not a single post.
Some of you may well have done it by accident not realising that, which is understandable, but if we see the button's being abused we may have to remove the posting privileges of people who abuse it.
Thanks!

The tariff rate is still being looked at (it's a lot harder to research than French & Saunders being on TV advertising UW or not, after all and basically I have come to the realisation that EVERY claim you make should be investigated thoroughly). And UW call charges ARE cheaper than BTs - I gave you an example, which you asked for but apparently that wasn't good enough. Oh well. Let's also not forget your pathetic attempt to discredit UWs leccy prices by comparing your DUAL FUEL leccy price (that you have been paying for over 4 years) with UWs standalone leccy price (including the one-off annual club fee) that you STILL haven't apologised for. Maybe because when the 'truth' outed it was clear the figures weren't quite so amazing, eh? In fact, it transpired you'd been overpaying on your LUA.
Perhaps you could draw on your extensive knowledge of cashback cards to get me a better deal? No? Yet another money saving technique you know zilch about. Never mind.
Wow, French and Saunders Eh – is that the best you can do?
You have to therefore resort to your usual diversionary tactics rather than address the issues; I really thought you might have shown a little more imagination
You have lost the plot Carmine, and with it your credibility.
The most satisfying aspect of this situation is that you are intelligent enough to appreciate you have lost your credibility on this issue; and even your most steadfast supporters are too embarrassed come to your aid; even Keggs!! (although I cannot understand why you might not wish him to intervene on your behalf)0 -
It appears there are lots of reasons why ID's for this company try their hardest to get customers..... now if it were as good why do they have to offer such incentives as this?
Consider what you would like to pick up in commission and bonuses between now and the end of the year.
Let's assume that an extra £500 would be useful. Now let's plan how a QE could get it. Extra Bonus for all IDs. Gather at least 12 customers before December 14th 2009, that's about 1 customer each week!
Customers must satisfy the criteria. check the latest HotNews, page 3. £200
CGB for these 12 customers estimated at about £20 each, (Company average) £240
CVC for 12 average customers estimated from my commission statement at about £25 per month for 3 months £75
£515
Over the year this would rise to about £750. Would an extra £750 be useful to you?
How do we increase this total to £1,000, £2,000, £5,000, £10,000? We recruit more execs and teach them how to "Do the Business" and we gather more customers to make sure that we secure our Telephony CVC 20 Active Customers
secure our Energy CVC 50 Active Customers
Qualify for the Mini 75 Active Customers
You are all aware of the Magic Figure of 6 to continue to get CVC, but if you are not bringing in customers regularly, i.e. 2 per month, your CVC will fall to half (telephony) or to Zero (Energy) unless you have reached these targets, - 6, 20 or 50 customers.
Everyone is capable of reaching the 50+ Club with consistent, persistent effort.
NOTE the word ACTIVE customers .......0 -
I dunno about all these AUWF people but all of my customers, bar none, are saving money compared with their previous suppliers. Some have the cashback card, some don't. Some are residential, some are business customers.
They are all happy with the service provided by me and the company. I know because I take the time to ask them. They LIKE the fact that I ask them and will tell them if I can save them money or not.
Now, the AUWF may not like this. And they plainly don't.
Understand this if you can.
UW offers an alternative. It may not suit you but it suits a lot of other people and who are you to pass judgement or criticise what other people decide to do?'The only thing that helps me keep my slender grip on reality is the friendship I have with my collection of singing potatoes'

Well UW has already grown very well the last few years and continues to. This was before the latest incentives introduced 2 weeks ago.
I don't have a problem with earning more money, or new people finding it easier to also. Gives every incentive to help new distributors to be successful. I like the idea that it allows people to earn extra money at a time when the economy is suffering and so many people struggling. It was more difficult years ago when I started but have still had success from it with many happy customers. It's quite clear you aren't getting the success you hoped for. I guess you should realise it takes a number of years of consistent effort to achieve a good lifetime income as with any business. Instead of trying to find fault where there isn't any with UW, why not just realise that it's your attitude towards it that is the problem. It's too easy to blame something else.
After all UW is a discount club. Being a customer allows for extra savings that can make it in combination a very good deal. For some who use it wisely it can be the best available.
A few tips,
Never push it on people. I explain how it works and leave it up to them to decide. They usually ask me how to sign up as a customer. If they don't then I leave it.
Treat people with respect and be friendly. Give them no reason to object to you.
If you want success, learn how to do it properly.
You have every option open to you, it's up to you what you make from it.
The other option is of course give up. If its not for you and you don't want to put the effort in for a few years then don't do it. However, if other are getting success then isn't that a good thing for them. I prefer to see success than failure but some people go out of their way to try to be a failure.
UW distributorQuentin's Cashback Card?
Let no man, advert or internet site tell me where to get my Utilities0 -

You'll note that these two statements are unrelated, and as confirmed by UW IDs - meter readers only visit you every three months if you are a UW customer too. You are also able to enter reads online for other suppliers.
You'll also see Carmine has used a lot of your screen, but not answered the question.
You decide why he's dodging it.0 -

Is this because they are just cheap and nasty? It would seem that choosing these companies could be a far worse idea than choosing Utility Warehouse. A pathetic, egotistical scrap on here is not a good enough reason for me not to seriously consider them.
Fair enough - it's always going to be in your best interest to consider all options. Do you own research, but take what anyone says on an internet forum with a pinch of salt (including me).
As to why there are loads of threads with disatisfied customers from other suppliers - one theory is they have more customers.
UW have around 300,000, the big 6 have about 25 million between them. If you annoy 0.1% of your customers that's 300 for UW and 25,000 for the big 6. You'll see the big 6 first.0 -
The UWDC is nothing more than a re-seller full stop. As I was an ID for 10 years I cannot and will not work for a company who appears to warrant abuse of statutory rights and also treat customers with disputes below a level of service of The Sales of Goods and Services Act 1979.
There are a few investigations going on at the moment that for legal reasons I cannot go in too. Once they have I will post a link to some information that will let people decide and also show the other side of the UWDC.
On the whole customer services is good, but when you get further up the ladder, then this is when you come across some of the most (cannot comment people) I have had the displeasure of dealing with.
Two faced? As an ID are you using your free calls and internet for business? Then you are in breach of their terms and conditions, but they turn a blind eye to this. When however you are using the same services for other business they do not. This shows the double standards.
If you work from home as an ID then you should have a business line internet etc. Show me that all the ID's have this and I will eat my hat.
Everything the UWDC have stated in the past they would not do to ID's they have. The customer attrition rate is high regardless of how good customer services is. Which? And I remember the email we were told of in advance and ourselves family and friends to vote.
If you compare your CVC etc to inflation you will find deflation of the figures of about 50%. There are plenty of other ways of making residual income that does not fall, the goal posts changed and plenty of other companies who do crusies etc.
I also know of one guy who became an ID with a mass data base of customers. The emails he was sending out you would have lost your ID for, but because of the customers gained he did not loose his ID.
Regardless of what Charles says there will come a day when the company is sold and the ID's left high and dry. The old saying is true dont place all your eggs in the same basket. A good read and listen is "creating multiple streams of income" which is much better than UWDC.
Dont forget as well there is a lot of ID's out there that are not working legally as they are running their own business. If something goes wrong who is going to protect you?
I predicted the cash back card and also its pro's and cons the most serious being lack of protection if something goes wrong.
I suggest you check out karen and Trevour Blakes story of rags to riches from the start.
Also not many ID's are aware that they need liability insurance, business insurance for their car and also as they are self employed a consumer credit licence. Also if you employ people to do leaflet drops and pay them you need employers liability insurance as well.
If you take expansion of the company and the customer data base it works out on average of 4 customers a year per distributor. I know those who are ID's but WONT take the services themselves one being a warrant officer he knows the law and even he admitted that "they dont tell you that you need a consumer credit licence." Ask the FSA and they will tell you, in fact I need one just to help people with insurance claims!0 -
John, I predict you will face the full wrath of the UW apologists. They will use every diversion tactic in the book to discredit you.......0
