Then why would you accept a kWh figure as genuine?
Because you say so. You obviously do not trust me with the numbers, current supplier and tariff for some reason and all I can think of is that your numbers do not match what you maintain. I believe that you are perhaps embarrassed that they do not match and this is why you refuse to post them, because if you do and they don't, you will have told a porkie and that will not sit well with your conscience.

I could go to energyhelpline and enter various different kWh permutations to give me £1345. Not really that hard is it? If fact if I nothing better to do I could give you endless different permutations that match £1345.

You don't trust me, I accept that.

Still the same old same old debate...

How totally tiresome this thread is.

Got another potential new signup today who is pretty happy with the savings they are likely to be making. Perhaps I should point them to this board as undoubtedly I am ripping them off by signing them up to such a dire company like UW?

EDIT: I should have written 'I have brainwashed another user into the cult of UW!'

Mind you 5 mins on here and they will be prepared to pay anything for a bit of peace, lol!
  • God anyone would think that posting their energy usage figures was like exposing themselves to the mother in law!

Please just post them so we can at least move to the next round of the debate!

Is it not true that other companies tie a customer in without a £100 discount?

Yes of course it is true.

The point was that your champion(with some justification) slates other companies for insisting they stay with the company 12 months to get a discount.

However when UW introduce a one-off inducement, for new customers only, that is subject to a 12 month lock-in, it meets with universal applause from the UW fraternity.

And why not? For those who can already save money by switching to Utility Warehouse, it is an added benefit that other companies fail to provide. I already save money by being with the company and do not begrudge transferees a bit extra.

I am an Independent Distributor with Utility Warehouse and the views I express may not be shared by the company.

For once I find myself agreeing with Cardew. It is a form of tie for new UW customers as they will have to stay 12 months to receive the cashback.

However the positive of this is that they can of course elect to leave at any time within that period as there is no minimum contract and elect not receive the additional bonus.

In this sense the bonus should be seen simply as that. A loyalty bonus rather than a tied in discount.

If somebody posted on here that UW was so much cheaper without prove would you believe them? If I came on here and said UW was 19% cheaper you would expect to see my useage figures and rightly so! If you are telling the truth about your figures, why not just post them and have done with it? People post on here that they save money with UW and are asked to provide readings to back this up, yet you will not, it kind of works both ways Jimexbox and I must say your constant refusal to tell people your figures will make people wonder what you are hiding. Your reason that people will not believe is not really valid, does it matter if they don't believe you, at least it will stop people constantly asking!
