I can appreciate that if(haven't checked) UW daytime calls are cheaper than BT, there might be marginal gains in having UW, but only if you don't make many evening/weekend calls and/or you only have a few daytime calls.

Unless I have missed something I can't see that UW are cheaper than BT in this situation - for the majority of users. Perhaps a neutral like ypaymore might comment?

It was a question - that is after all what "how?" signifies!

Please explain - for my benefit, if nobody else - what you mean about UW's 'standalone' calls blowing away similar BT calls.

An example would be nice!
