Is the broadband contract 12 months? If it is I've had it alot longer than a year. What kind of notice do I have to give? Sorry I can't check my paperwork as I'm at work at the moment.

sorry missed that!!(ps obviously is not a good word to use! whats obvious to one may not be obvious to another!)
are there any other internet users in the house ? I take it the laptop is for work use.

    Hi,

There is another internet user in the house, but he has his own laptop with mobile broadband as well. The laptop is for work use, but we are able to use it for private use at home with the mobile internet. So I really have no need to pay UW for broadband anymore.

    Hello All

As you all probably know I am currently a happy UW customer but I'm needing some advice as my situation has changed!

I have today been provided with a laptop and internet access which will be paid for by my employee. So now I no longer need to pay UW for broadband. So what is going to happen now? Will I lose my free calls if I cancel my broadband?
I'm confused about what I should do?

Any help? I am now thinking that maybe I should just keep my landline with UW and change suppliers for gas and electric, but I'm very wary. If I just use UW for landline and calls, do they offer free calls after 6.00pm and the weekends? I really need to keep at least one service with UW as I use the cashback card very heavily.

    Any ideas?
    According to this:

You can get something called "MoreTalk 3" from UW for £7.75 a month which gives you inclusive calls to UK landlines at any time.

Though given that UW "free" calls only seem to be free for the first 75 minutes anyway, as I understand it it might actually be cheaper to use 18185.co.uk for long UK phone calls even for those people who do have "free" calls with UW. Though admittedly this does require you to remember to dial 18185 before dialling each time. (A sticker on the handset until you get into the habit perhaps?)

The calls cant be free if your paying £93 a year for them Inclusive yes Free no.

Only BT have to allow indirect access via the likes of 18185, its possible UW block it.
