Unfortunately we only have Tescos, Asda and Morrisons near me which is a bit of a pain but you never know at the rate this card will be grasped I'm sure these other supermarkets will accept it.
Hope so anyway. In any event I use many of the other outlets and there are over 25 of them.

Had a thought.
A question for Cardew who appears to disparage the method of operations used by UW and other network marketing companies which now account for billions of pounds worldwide nowadays - so we are not talking peanuts here.
If you owned a MacDonalds franchise or another franchise for that matter, would you refuse to 'sell' a hamburger or offer your services to your friends or relatives or would you give them them away for free?
If you ran one of the latest franchises - oven cleaning - would you refuse to clean your neighbour's oven on the basis that you couldn't possibly take money off them - it's immoral?
MLM, Network Marketing or Referral Marketing businesses are basically franchises. The only real differences between them are:
1. The cost of 'buying' one is very low - there is a set legal limit
2. There are no geographical limits
3. Very few ongoing overheads
4. You can build a team of people all doing the same thing.
Franchising went through the same nonsensical arguments based on people's lack of real knowledge and understanding. Franchising together with network marketing probably account for about half of the world's economy now. And you've more chance of becoming a millionaire (if that is your wish - it isn't everyones) by joining a NW company. In todays climate joining one is probably your best bet if you want to keep the roof over your head!
You might not the company's modus-operandi but millions of others have see the light including me who resisted it for years before I researched and properly understood it. I now feel very silly indeed. In fact it fits in very nicely with my very strong political and moral view of life.
Join the 21st century.
By the way, Networkers are one of the most protected people in business today. It is an irony that since people down the decades complained about so-called pyramid selling scams (and everything in life is based on a pyramid structure) genuine companise had to abide by an ever increasing legislation to protect tjose who get involved.
Just thought I'd throw that in in case he who thinks he knows it all decides to make another disparaging remark

So, I take it now that you won't accept anything Which says from now on. Or will you just pick and choose what to believe based on your own flawed pre-conceptions.
On the contrary I have great confidence in anything the Consumer Association(Which) tests.
Most of their member's surveys on items such as, say, computers are useful but certaintly not the last word as far as I am concerned. However I don't believe that hordes of Sony, Acorn, Dell employees will be trying to influence the results.
I note you continue to avoid the central issue about the validity of any survey where vested interests can chose to participate. Are you seriously suggesting that UW reps will have given an honest appraisal in the survey?0 -
Keggs,
You are wasting your time trying to widen the discussion into franchising.
Your assumption that, because I do not like the marketing methods employed by many UW reps, I am against franchising is without foundation and not worthy of further discussion.
My knowledge of UW tactics is largely from the input and spamming on MSE and some idiots who have knocked on my door, and reading some ASA reports.
EDIT
A final point. This forum is about Money saving and the purpose of most people is to seek information about the value of products.
I am glad you have "seen the light" and discovered that franchising is a way of becoming a millionaire, and I have little doubt those at the top of the company have already achieved that goal.
However what matters to most people is not how rich UW reps can become, but the value of the product they sell.0 -
So Cardew is my point valid in my previous post? And by the way what is your take on the Cashback card?

Keggs,
However what matters to most people is not how rich UW reps can become, but the value of the product they sell.
I agree which is why I have repeatedly pointed out to you and others that only by people making their own mind up will they determine whether what UW offers is value to them.
However, it seems to me that while you and your fellow 'croneys' denigrate any UW rep that dares to show that what UW offers can be positive, it is not fine for these people to actually answer questions because 'the rules' state it is spamming.
In other words you and other naysayers bias your opinions in much the same way (you have admitted that yourself) as UW reps do but it is OK for you to do it but not for them to do so. You say they are misleading people but you are doing just as much - perhaps more so..
That's double standards.
The argument is unbalanced, undemocratic and quite frankly objectionable.
As for Which if you really believe that the vast majority of UW supporters are also distributors then I would like to know how you would know that.Which sampled 8000 readers and published their results. While all surveys have inbuilt bias, the larger the sample size the less this bias has an effect. The majority of respondents will not have been UW customers - only some. but somehow that relatively small number has somehow (in your mind) skewed the outcome. That's laughable.
Take out the UW figure completely and you still get a very poor satisfaction rating for the so called big 6. Are these results manipulated by the statisticians at Which?
The fact is Cardew that you do hate what UW stands for and anything that finds in their favour will always create mistrust and negativity in yours and like-minded individuals minds. Be honest instead of hiding behind some false mask.

Just popping back for 5 mins! Keggs & Choc, from painful experience in the past, it's probably not a good idea for your sanity to engage in virtual banter with the Board's Hugh Jeego, it's an entirely futile experience. This is a person who implies he is the guardian of morality in the company he keeps...then goes and spoils it by being a long-standing British Gas customer - a company that frequently launches new Click Energy products to attract new customers whilst leaving its existing loyal customers on the more expensive previous Click Energy product unless they actually ring up and specifically request going onto the shiny new (and cheaper!) new Click tariff.
I'm afraid when it comes to talking about the morality of companies he's a flush that is terminally busted.
PS Choc, I hope you don't wait around for a response to wht he thinks about the cashcard. IME he doesn't tend to reply to things he can't debunk although he may come back with some bluster that will in effect be a personal dig at your IQ (he's got previous for this, shall we say?). If Cardew had ANYTHING remotely credibly negative to say about the cashback card it would have come out by now. Let's hope he surprises me, though, I could do with a laugh...Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -

The proof is that any survey that allows people with a vested interest decide to participate is discredited. The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.
Oliver Wendell Holmes0 -
Because unless you can prove it to be true, you could leave yourself open to legal action.
You cannot be serious! On what possible grounds? Stating that a survey is open to abuse? Is discredited? Is unrepresentative?
Who would be taking the action? Which? or UW?
You really do need to brush up on the law!!0
