Cardew.
Seeing as we have to declare a vested interest in discussing the company, whats your connection with the Energy/Utility Industry if any?
UW Distributor.0 -
It's certainly not "you" who come here and answer any objections or questions.
The policy for overcoming awkward questions by the uw reps seems to be:
1) Just ignore the question
2) Then abuse the adviser trying to state the correct facts.0 -

UW Distributor.
The proof is that any survey that allows people with a vested interest decide to participate is discredited.
Do you not believe the voting on the Eurovision is discredited? Exactly the same principle.
The only type of survey/poll that has any measure of credibility, is when a poll/survey is conducted under carefully controlled conditions. The main condition being that the participants do not select themselves; the pollster selects them.0 -

That's a good question, reason being Hugh Jeego has stated he doesn't work or has never worked for an energy company but hasn't confirmed if he works in the energy or a RELATED industry. He's a charetered electrical engineer (his info, given on another thread, btw*) by trade. Unusual username as well....

Could I ask those who genuinely believe that Which magazine deliberately allowed UW distributors to contribute disproportionately why would they
(a) allow this to happen and
(b) not allow a satisfaction rating of 100% be published.
The fact is the satisfaction rating was 72% and not 100% - difference of 28%
I know conspiracy theories abound these days but to suggest Which is involved is to put it mildly a joke.
Would these same people be arguing as they are doing now if BG or Eon got a satisfaction rating of 72% and not UW. I doubt it very much.
I'm at a loss as to why Quentin and Cardew are so filled with hatred of the Utility Warehouse as to demonstrate such neoroticism
What is it that has caused you to feel this way? After all it is only business not a cult.Is it hatred for network marketing - a genuine, ethical system and truly the only vehicle ordinary people can use to help them fulfill their dreams and aspirations or is it the company itself. If it is the former then you have insulted millions of people world wide who have and are developing their own network marketing businesses with all sorts of customers.
Best wishes

Just thought i would share this with you all. Ive always found this companies energy prices and the triple value guarantee fair.I'll explain why!
Everyone has gone on about how this online tariff and that online tariff has beat our standard tariff, well yes it has until now.Click 5 now works out dearer for me than our standard prices, our price is now cheaper! So now the folks on that deal have got to switch AGAIN,i havent!!! Now for people whom use this site and the ones whom switch every month it isnt a problem but for the average guy in the street working 10 hours a day it is a problem because he cant be bothered.Get my point?

Given the way Which organise their member surveys there is no way they can prevent those with vested interests participating; and if you look at the number of UW 'customers' participating, compared to their tiny market share, it makes my point perfectly.
Can you seriously imagine that a UW representative(or family) whose living(to a greater or lesser extent) depends upon UW, giving an objective appraisal?
No doubt the reason why only 72% was achieved is that there were some objective appraisals - presumably by non-UW reps.
'Which' are not 'involved" any more than the the BBC were 'involved" in the 'Man of the year' saga. It is pretty obvious that Which didn't appreciate the implications of vested interests voting.
I have no 'hatred' of UW. I dislike their modus -operandi and UW reps constantly spamming MSE. If you look at this thread I rarely participated until recently - no need to as, Quentin crushes you all. I can't believe that people selling a product allow him to correct you time and time again on facts - not opinions. I may be wrong, but I haven't seen a single example where you have proved his statements to be faulty and dozens of examples where he has corrected your statements.
Without going into the pros and cons of UW, anyone who can sell their family and friends a gas and electricty product, that they absolutely know is far from the cheapest on the market, in order to line their pockets has a different set of values to many of us.
Frankly if you want to sell your products, you would be all better off avoiding MSE. However that would be a shame as it is quite entertaining.0 -
By modus -operandi I take it you mean network marketing. Do you know what network or referral marketing is? Please enlighten us all if you think you do. People have been 'selling' to their friends and family for centuries. It isn't anything new. The only difference these days it is far more organised. In any event if you ask most marketers (me included) you will finmd most have very few 'friends and colleagues' as customers compared to the rest of their customer base. There are very obvious reasons for this, which I am sure you could work out.
As for Quentin he crushes no one.. He's looking sillier every day nowadays. He has aptly demonstrated time and time again that he deliberately uses information and points made by UW reps to try and discredit both the company and the individual making those points. Why? I am yet to work out but I have my suspicions.
I agree that UW distributors shouldn't spam but isn't it strange that one person in particular deliberately provokes UW reps into debating particular aspects of the products then when they discuss this they are either accused of misleading or promoting - spamming. They are damned if they do and damned if they don't discuss.
So, I take it now that you won't accept anything Which says from now on. Or will you just pick and choose what to believe based on your own flawed pre-conceptions.
Regards

I met with my Sainsburys-loving mate last night and bandied a few figures about. They make interesting reading indeed but more later, haven't time to post full details now. Suffice to say, for him, joining UW is a bit of a no-brainer, but of course with my poor standard  of maths I will welcome any corrections to my figures!Call me Carmine....
