£10 a month call cost is just £0.50 a day if you take it to be 20 week days in a month. Not unreasonable. UW research on its actual customers suggests the call saving by taking 4 services to be £10 a month for average household. This is based on UW prices of 2.5p a minute daytime geographic calls and varying prices for 0845 and 0870 calls. It would be more with BT because they are more expensive for daytime calls.
Ofcom's data disagrees with you. I would take Ofcom's word over UW's any day.

You could program the prefix into a preset on the phone. Very little hassle to press one extra button each time. Forgetting is indeed possible,
I already get free calls and pay less for my utilities to Utility Warehouse than I would to any other combination of companies. Why would I want to pay more and have more hassle?

I really dont see the purpose of this Forum, nothing constructive really comes out of it,its just a slagging matc between UW distributors and people who just dont get the overall concept of the Utility Warehouse Discount Club.As said before if you dont like it dont have it!!! why does it have to become so hostile?
    Andy UW dis.

    I agree Andy

The hostility really comes form the AUW faction because they refuse to believe anyone could be happy with the Uw and more importanyly actually save money.

The phrases stick in the mud and head in the sand come to mind.

I weny on another training today to refresh myself. There was only one seat spare - the room was full - about 25 people. 25 more distributors.

People on here (one in particular) need to realise that not everybody is average, lots of people use the phone during the day and we all have different needs. UW caters well from some people's needs (not all people by any means!). Why can't the anti UW accept that fact and stop being so ignorant as to suggest where we get our utilities from when we have stated that we are perfectly happy with our choice! Sorry for the rant!
Thankyou for reinforcing my point that UW is not for most people.

I just don't understand why any attempt to refute dodgy claims from IDs that "most" people would be better off with UW result in people leaping down my throat. It's almost as if there are vested interests or something, but we all know by now that never happens don't we...

Ofcom's research is a general figure, UWs is completely specific to UWs customer base. In that regard, UWs figure is far more reliable for UWs purposes than Ofcom's. Not rocket science....

When have Which tested gas and electricity and awarded UW a 'Best Buy' status for those services?

All that has been carried out is a reader's survey.

You appear to be logging off immediately i ask you a question you can't answer. I'm now assuming you won't be answering my questions regarding whether you have ever posted an untruth or made a deliberately misleading post so I'm sure we all know why. Then there was this question from earlier which you logged off hoping it would be forgotten about when you logged back on again.

You seem to think that this thread is purely aimed at you; it is not! It is aimed at the new readers who will want to know about UW prices and some of us are attempting to inform them of the true picture of UW very high gas and electricty prices.

I do wish you wouldn't use emotive words like 'ignorant' for people attempting to point out facts to prospective customers.
My 'net' tariff is about the same as the one you have been paying for over 4 years and i've only been paying it for 2 months. Explain that one.

How do you manage to get to that conclusion from what you actually quoted her as saying?

How did I reinforce your point that UW is not for most people? I believe I said that UW caters for some people's needs, but not everybody's. Name me a utility company that caters for every single person in the Country, I would say thats impossible!

The set up is simple as the little box of tricks is the power supply. If I remember rightly the box fits into the router and the phone you use fits in the box. That's it I think.

Not having set it up I'm doing it from memory. The instructions are very simple though.

If you decide to get one you get the option of one or 2 lines. The connection fee is £50 inc VAT and line rental is just £2 (inc VAT) per line. Don't normally advise but I suggest you take the 2 lines.

    Hope that helps
