So if I find out that the house has nver had a BT style line it's £99 (£2k on the card)
If it has, it's £25 (£500 on the card)
Or, keep cable (& free telly), and just go for calls. I've not heard of this option before. More investigation required.

I've opted for pay as you use as well, Rael. Of course, UW is the only UK energy company that can offer it on a monthly basis. Another superb initiative. Some people don't like it but it's nice to actually have the option. My bill this month for gas (granted only half the month but gas usage aint exactly significant at the moment), electric, phone, broadband, and ALL calls (incl. International) is £44.25. £36-odd cashback discount. Works out at an approx 45% discount on the bill.

Ps Add to this the fact that our household food bill has decreased by a crazy amount on account of the quality of Sainsburys basics range being good enough to replace previous brand name/supermarket own/premium brand stuff and all in all we are very glad we switched. :money:

Edit : Have just rechecked that, and the £50 only applies if you take the broadband option. If it's just telephony there's no minimum contract, and just 30 days notice of termination with no £50 disconnection fee. If you get a new line installed then it's 12 months min.

    Somewhat cynical edit!

See post #6211 for the correct information in relation to the original query which you incorrectly answered. (Though you have seen the correction already, hence this edit of yours).

I guess that UW reps don't like it when this minimum contract for having a line installed is published like this, as they like to keep telling gullibles you have nothing to lose by trying us out, and you can leave any time without a penalty if it's not for you!

As demonstrated in this training video with the gullible spanish teachers:

hi jimex I am an authorised distributor.

Then why do you pose a UW question here if you clearly (should) know how to find the answer? (We have learnt from uw training videos that they don't want you to know such details, as the way to grt to the top is just keep it simple!)

you have a new line installed and have b/call on it(line rental/bband) how much will it cost to cancell within the 12 month period?

Your colleague told you how to find out the answer, yet it seems you knew all along!

Q remember we are not touting for business in here thats why we dont harp on about everything.. when ever I am with a potential customer I explain everything, and answer all questions honestly. what do you do for a living ? Any post now of yours will rightly be treated with huge suspicion.

...because your figures show that being with UW is better for you, and it blatantly goes against the AUWF's arguments.

I won't watch it again Q, but I'm pretty sure that there is no mention of having a new line installed in the video link you have posted, so it's irrelevant to your point. Anyone who does try our Home Phone service (who hasn't had a new line installed by us) can leave at any time without penalty. What is your point when posting this link?

    I am a UW ID.

Me too. I also have a problem with people who make false statements and those who do not provide evidence for statements they "maintain."

I am an independent distributor with Utility Warehouse and the views I express may not be shared by the company.

You don't see your other colleagues who do come here purely to spam us with UW propaganda as they get promptly deleted.

Nevertheless if you read through this thread you will see attempts at touting for business, requests for pms, offers to email particulars, misleading and false claims etc.
