Folk argue against this because apparent many UW customers are addicted to 0870/0845 numbers, so need the full package to qualify for these prefix numbers. Yeah, OK.
I take gas, electricity, broadband, landline and mobile because it all works well for me. I even had an 0800 number when my girls were younger so they could phone home for free in an emergency. I like getting just the one paper bill per month. I shop at Sainsbury's because they are on my walk home from work and have goods that I want to buy. I shop there enough to reduce my utility bill to less than I would get with any other combination of companies. I also occasionally shop at some of the other stores serviced by the pre payment card and this reduces my bills even further. I still get Nectar points, I still shop through Quidco. I still look for bargains in Aldi and Lidl which are also near or on my route home. All this fits in with how I want to live my life and is no bother to me. I take it as a personal insult that Cardew, Quentin, yourself and anybody else should try and tell me how to spend my money. I also think it is truly arrogant to try and tell others how to spend their money. Utility Warehouse is not perfect and will not suit a lot of people. But, and this is a big but, it will be a perfect fit for many others.

This is a money saving site and it is a fact that many people could pay less for their utilities with Utility Warehouse than with any other combination of companies.

I am an independent distributor with Utility Warehouse and the views I express may not be shared by the company.

I could post actual scans of my bills here, but no doubt the Goon Show would just claim they'd been Photoshopped. They probably think the Twin Towers were demolished by the US government and the Moon Landings were really filmed in the Mojave Desert as well, but hey ho, you can't really argue with a sick mind.

 You only have yourself to blame mate. One of my favourite films is Capricorn One.;)

The Telecom+ share price climbed (and stayed) above 300p for the first since May today. There's been little movement outside of the 270-290 range recently, but we could be looking at a breakout up to about 350-360 shortly. Happy days for investors. The company is obviously doing something right.

I agree. I had another little flutter yesterday after the bit of 'inside knowledge' regarding the npower customer & distributor incentive, bringing my average buy price to £2.80-ish per share. If Wigoder holds to the 22p per share divi promise, on current prices I am looking at an almost 8% return! Of course, shares can go down as well as up blah blah. I don't believe the share price has fully reflected what this promotion will do to distributor and customer numbers yet. And all paid for by npower. An amazing bit of business from Wigoder.

Nige, UW tell you where you have to shop, you don't seem to have a problem with that?

I'm simply advocating that free broadband/phone and possibly a profit (sufficient spend applicable) then an online energy tariff would be an unbeatable combination. How many folk, apart from carmine are addicted to 0845/0870 numbers anyway?

For this I'm insulted on a regular basis, not that it bothers me. Its just shows the level of discussion when the going gets tough....

No. They offer a range of shops to use the pre payment card that fits in with the way I have always shopped. I spent £250 or more each month at Sainsbury's BEFORE the card came out. My wife and I bought some items from Boots BEFORE the card came out. I occasionally bought stuff from Argos BEFORE the card came out. With my gas and electricity usage, using the card means that I spend how I want to and still pay less than with any other combination of companies. Before the card arrived, I used to check every now and again to make sure I was getting best value for me in my circumstances. I wasn't a "rate tart" but I did take an interest in what I was spending. When the card arrived, it became an absolute no brainer for me to pay even less than I was before.

For any newcomer to this thread - especially if they want to find information about UW gas and electricity prices - you should be aware that UW have just about the highest gas and electricity prices in UK.

You should also be aware that there are loads of posters with a vested interest in UW(mainly salesmen) who attempt to disrupt this thread and obsure the reality of UW's very high prices.

Don't just take my word for it - check on any of the comparison websites recommended by Martin.

From an earlier post. These are the costs for someone with an average UK consumption of 20,500kWh gas and 3,300kWh electricty living in the East Midlands.

If you wish to pay quarterly, the cheapest dual fuel would be £1060.

UW's cheapest tariff is their high user which will cost £1299 i.e. £239 more expensive.

Should you wish to pay by DD the difference a is £234. The cheapest being £949 and UW at £1183

So by DD, UW is 24.6% more expensive.

So what do you think of Rael's deceipt - or are you so used to such behaviour from UW trolls.
I am used to such behaviour from the anti Utility Warehouse faction when they make false statements and try and use half truths to "score points."

This is a money saving site. It is true that Utility Warehouse will not suit everybody. It is also true that Utility Warehouse can be a perfect fit for a lot of people who want to pay least for their utilities. It is a fact that I pay less for my utilities than I would with any other companies. It is a fact that I use the pre payment card to ensure this. It is also a fact that I am happy with my choice of utilities provider and the stores I buy my goods at.

You may have some problem with the way some Utility Warehouse distributors use sales techniques to gain customers. I have a problem with the likes of British Gas and others disturbing me at home and trying to tell me they can save me loads of money when they have no idea of my gas and electricity usage or current supplier. I have a problem with anybody trying to tell me what to do and refusing to accept *I* know what is best for me in my personal circumstances. I have a problem with anybody trying to persuade others to take a specific purchasing decision when they do not know what those others want or their individual circumstances.

I do not have an "average consumption" and very few other people do either. I pay less for my utilities than I would with any other supplier. If I can pay less, so can many others.

For any newcomer to the thread you should be aware that although UW's 'bare' energy prices may not be the cheapest, (indeed they don't claim to be), it must be pointed out that by becoming a Club Member and using different combinations of many of the other services UW offers if you are in a position to, it has been proven that you can lower your TOTAL utility bill spend significantly below the 'best prices' offered by our competitors. Indeed there are several happy customers who post regularly on this thread.

Superior customer service, consistently recognised 'Best Buy' in consumer magazines, backed by a UK PLC, and with the convenience of having all your services on one monthly bill.

UW is a Discount Club. If you're only interested in energy, and their rates are higher than what you're currently paying and you're not in a position to take any other services, then STAY WHERE YOU ARE! Do your own research and make your own choices based on what is best FOR YOU.

    I am a UW ID.

Cardew, I think your tone is dispicable when it comes to describing UW ID's, and would love to know what your personal experience of a UW ID is please. By the way, we already have one Quentin, we don't need another - unless you're an alter-ego?
