    LOL

This thread does crack me up!

I love the way it seems the ignore button is always mentioned by some of the most ignorant people on here, kind of ironic dont you think?
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)

HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??
  • Probably best to just ignore him carmine.
    Quentin's Cashback Card?
Let no man, advert or internet site tell me where to get my Utilities
  • Wouldn't that be ignorant, though?

  • You are right carmine. You wouldn't want to get accused of being ignorant. Has he gone yet.

You likened me to your father a couple of days ago! - I'me hurt!
That was just directed to be hurtful toward Maz. You know her father died recently. Have a little respect for her feelings cardew.

The 3 rate tarriff is with First Utility. And Gas is with Ebico, I have used the most upto date rate for Gas to give a fair comparision, I don't have my annual consumption but if it helps I'm in 3 bed terraced A-rated EcoHome built in 2005.

I don't have storage heaters or heat water by electric, and my house is occupied 24 hours.

Well on electricity you have used 273kWh in a month. As you state that is typical consumption, that equates to 3276kWh per year - which is almost exactly the UK average of 3,300kWh pa

It is difficult to say what your gas consumption will be. A 3 bed eco Tce would indicate below average, occupied 24/7 would indicate above average. So let us assume the UK average of 20,500kWh

If you wish to pay quarterly, the cheapest dual fuel would be BG Web Saver4 at £1060.

UW's cheapest tariff is their high user which will cost £1299 i.e. £239 more expensive.
Their costs are Gas 15.19p a day SC and 3.78p/kWh, Elec 18.99p a day SC and 11.454p/kWh plus £21.12 UW membership(figs from Energyhelpline)

Should you wish to pay by DD the difference a is £234. The cheapest being BG WebSaver4 at £949 and UW at £1183

So by DD, UW is 24.6% more expensive.

You can juggle your consumption figures to suit but you will find that UW consistently have just about the highest gas and electricity prices in UK.

You might be one of the few who don't seem hell bent on just trying to silence us UW customers. Can't say I would blame some for not bothering posting here, although I took the plunge eventually and my fears were rapidly confirmed.

Yes, I did set out to praise UW. I like them.

I'm not hell bent on silencing anybody, I am a UW customer as well (for my sins!)
I have enjoyed reading this thread tonight, it has kept me entertained whilst the boyfriend is away!
