I'm on cable, so I'd need the phone line to get broadband....

Would you like me to find out how much UW charges for a new line to be installed? If so I'll pm the answer unless any other IDS can help.

    BT offer FREE Connection.
But then you have to stay a BT customer for 12(?) months.
Any ideas on how much UW are going to ask for?

That's news to me. Great if you want to use BT but they'll put you a rolling contract which I don't think Swanjon wants.

Takes some pretty desperately, well, desperate person to attack a recently bereaved person, huh?

The best thing to do with people like Cardew and Quentin is either ignore them or develop a sense of humour. Neither are nice people. I play Quentin now when I feel like it. I just don't take Cardew seriously any more. As for Jimexbox he just follows his masters so I ignore anything he says now as it's not worth reading.

I'm sorry to hear about your bereavement. I too had a bit of a love-hate relationship with my father. I still miss him though.

I have the same relationship with my eldest son as well. We are all strong personalities so it is inevitable that we clash. Unfortunately, for me I tend to lecture a bit in an aragument. Terrible trait but I suppose it comes from being a teacher.

I'm going to miss my son as well as he's off to Surrey Uni next week.

Keep you chin up Maz. Cardew and people like him are simply small and narrow minded individuals who only feel in control when they bully and have others who agree with them fawn all over them.

    Best wishes

This is a selection of your personal insults:

On the other hand, if you can speak about your recently deceased father in such a manner, you don't consider them personal insults.

You can't make me rise to your references to my recently deceased father. The very fact that you have made the attempt shows me that you have no class whatsoever; you're rude, crude and thoroughly unattractive.

Quite honestly, he would have had you horse whipped for your insensitivity, impropriety and impertinence.

You're a foolish man with a cabbage for a brain.

Not sure if this is any use to you but we can help Cable customers with calls. You still have to pay your line rental to the cable company but the calls can be diverted. Taking just calls still qualifies as a service.

No worries Keggs, I have cast iron underwear and am impervious to the feeble castigations hurled at me by the likes of Cardew et al. They're all crap anyway and terribly transluscent. If only they knew it! :D

They probably do but pretend to be the fount of all knowledge but when found out they scurry off till the dust has settled. Then come back to hurl more. Rael saw through them very quickly and they didn't like that. So their only response is to call him a troll. I didn't know what that meant till I visited this site. I always though a troll was a Viking monster.

Ah well - you learn something new every day I suppose.

It's just some men have the opnion that 'I'm right at all times and don't you dare disagree with me!'

They're not always right of course and they don't like it when they're proved wrong. God knows why, who cares? The world doesn't stop turning on its axis and the sun doesn't fail to rise in the morning, the world as we know it doesn't grind to a halt. Life continues.

Some men can't handle this though, can they?
