  • The promotion is being wholly funded by npower, apparently. npower clearly have realised that the UW way of customer acquisition is working big time. Most of the 'new' energy suppliers have grown their customer numbers the lazy way - by rival company acquisition. UW have grown massively from scratch with no acquisition and at little marketing cost to the company. The way forward? The city (and now npower) clearly thinks so...

Don't the big 6 reward their existing customers? Unlike UW who treat them with total contempt. Which you seem to find acceptable, very odd.

The point is that as UW members pay on average over £100 more than if they used the cheaper tariffs on offer from the "Big 6", so UW can easily "afford" to make this retention offer to get gullibles to stay.

But the new big money actually goes to recruiting, and this is the area which has got the attention - compare the new £400 to £1000 bonuses on offer to stimulate the downlines of the multi level (non pyramid) organisation to the £2.50 given for signing a new electricity customer!

As far your first point is concerned prove it.

As far as your second point is concerned what's your problem? Network Marketing is about lots of people doing a little not lots of people killing themselves. The compensation structure is fair as far as I an all the other IDs are concerned. If it wasn't we wouldn't have 27,000 IDs now would we.

As usual you are talking rubbish.

Cardew, if you have a phone line in that LUA of yours, UW is now cheaper over the next 12 months than the BG fixed deal you've been paying for the last 4 years. Tempted? :p By my calculations it would cost you a net £74 for 12 months. And no cashback card required...

The Big 6 have been guilty of feathering their own nests for years at the expense of the consumer. How can you honestly hang your hat there?

I hang my hat wherever is cheapest, as long as their customer service is good. So that rules out UW on at least one count.

Give it a rest Jimexbox. You are beginning to make yourself look as silly as your friend Quentin.

Why ask for proof the UW energy prices are about the most expensive? You know there is ample proof.

In your own case, as previously posted, you are so concerned about the UW lack of competition on energy, together with your "uneasiness" when discussing energy and the worthless guarantee with new prospects you have urged UW to "suspend" selling energy until more "fruitful" times arrive.

And independently, The Times also pointed out how expensive UW is in comparison with the Big 6 (again you know all about this, so why ask again for proof?)
The Utility Warehouse's direct debit dual fuel is around £100 more expensive than the cheapest big six supplier in each region

I agree that for some, UW will not work out cheaper. You seem to forget (or choose to ignore more like) that all IDs on here have said that. I also personally tell potential members that we are not the cheapest. But to suggest that it applies to everyone we ever meet (which is your implication) is to put it mildly misleading which is par for the course with you Quentin. So I need not take any advice from you.

It might interest you to know (but I doubt it) that when I tell people the truth ie we are not the cheapest then people have told me that's quite refreshing. You see Quentin what you don't appear to 'get' is the UW is a club that offers an overall package which when taken together offer unbeatable value for money. The challenge we have as IDs is to get that message across. But we are getting that message across aren't we despite what you and your friends say and do. The company is growing at an unprecednted rate - and in a recession as well. And it's all done without paying TV companies millions of pounds. Word of mouth recommendation works. You don't like it put that's your problem not mine.

Your latest post must be one of the most illogical ever posted on this Board.

Think about it! and grow up!

My 'crusade' as you term it is to stop people being conned by the UW vested interests on this Board.

I thought Quentin was the most abusive and obnoxious individual here but you are coming very close to that Cardew. How dare you tell someone to 'grow up'. It also show that you are losing the argument. I hope Maz reports you for abuse.
