At times I wonder about you vinnyph.
You make a statement about salespeople.
Then go into raptures about that profession.
If salesmen are honest - surely there isn't a problem.
If they are dishonest - there is a problem!
Now may I ask a simple question.
Do you believe I am dishonest for being involved with UW and providing the services.Quentin's Cashback Card?

May I also ask the same about me. In fact let's expand it. Do you think ALL 27,000 IDs are dishonest. And what about the 300,000 customers. Have they been duped. Is Carmine some evil despot fro daring to recommend the UW to his friend. And what about the employee who spoke to his friend on the phone.
Bah & Humbug once again.0 -
I have worked with electricians before. Electrons are negatively charged, maybe that's why electricians are negative and make negative charges. Physicists can work with positrons, maybe that's why they are positive people. An Electrician is known as a sparky, just wish they were known for having a sparky personality instead of for creating a negatively charged atmosphere.Quentin's Cashback Card?

Being involved with any organisation that is not proscribed is not dishonest.
What I will say is that your input on this forum - and that of many other contributors - is disingenous.
P.S. Oh yes that very much includes you keggs.0 -
Chemists are balanced. But can react when needed especially when there is a catalyst about.0

In what way?
Read the hundreds of pages of this thread for a graphic illustration of the art! For a starter>
1. Their failure to admit that they have just about the highest gas and electricity prices in UK.
2. Their failure to condemn the disgraceful TVG - some even try to defend it.
3. Their failure to condemn the ghastly sales techniques demonstrated in the videos.
4. The 'I don't advise any customer, I show them the figures and leave it up to them' posts - when you absolutely know that they will be paying very high gas and electricity prices.
I could cut and paste hundreds of others!0 -
Its slightly odd that UW folk and 'independent' UW shareholder carmine avoid admitting what we all really know, deep down even the UW reps know that their energy tariffs are vastly more expensive than those evil big 6. Afterall they are simply reselling energy supplied from Npower, with an extra layer of profit, or costs if you're a UW customer added in.
To avoid the unpalatable truth, the discount card is used to justify the huge difference in prices between anyone of the big six and UW. Apparently monthly billing is such a huge boon that it too is worth paying a massive premium for. I'm afraid you can trot out any 'unique feature' or 'added bonus' chit chat you wish, it doesn't change the undeniable fact that UW offer very expensive energy tariffs.0 -
It seems that some people don't like salespeople on here.
If we didn't have sales we would have no society. Nothing would be sold. There would be no buyers. There would be no-one to buy products so there wouldn't be any products and so there would be no manufacturers. There would therefore be no jobs in manufacturing. There would be no need for accountants since there would be no need for money as no products are sold. There would be no economy or marketplace. There would be no tax to collect. There would be no houses to buy, no clothes to buy and so modern society would not be possible without sales. We would have to make things ourselves. There would be no technology. There would be no medicine. Society would break down. There would be no society. We would be living in shacks or mud huts. There would be mass starvation. We would be wearing animal skins or fig leaves as who would be able to manufacture for nothing.
Mankind has an awful lot to thank salespeople for. Without them society would not be possible. Nor would our other achievements.
It seems some members here seem to write opinions without putting their brain into gear and thinking about the implications.
Classic, absolute classic. Here I was thinking than the human species greatest advancements were by free thinking minds striving to create a better future. Too understand the world about us, advancing every field of science in pursuit of knowledge and you shatter my illusion by letting slip all along it was the salesmen who led the way.
Well, move over meek, it is not you who shall inherit the earth. :rotfl:0 -
Jimixbox, I am a physicist and you try to lecture me on free thinking. You would try to teach your granny how to suck eggs. However you still missed the point. You are too literal for your own good. You are proof of the bandwagon effect.
Cardew. Having an opinion is OK. However, having a dislike for something and going out of your way to misrepresent it to others and trying to do damage to it with libellous charges you seem to think is also OK. I suggest keeping your opinion to yourself. You may be qualified as an electrician but does that qualify you to cast an unfounded judgement on UW or me or keggs or other distributors especially in public.Quentin's Cashback Card?
