This thread is here to specifically discuss UW
I am an independent distributor with Utility Warehouse and the views I express may not be shared by the company. The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.

He reckons in 10 years with UW even the laziest of the reps should all be earning £200,00 "passive" income - presumably "passive" means doing nothing!!
Where do you join the queue?
No queue, just go to the Utility Warehouse web site and sign yourself up. Nice to have you aboard. The mind of the bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour upon it, the more it will contract.

I can't understand this (implied) dislike of passive income, TBH. It's what the remaining members of The Beatles (and the benficiaries of the estates of the 2 who have passed) will be earning in massively increasing volume over the next few months. John, Paul, George and Ringo recorded those albums that have now (finally!) been re-mastered just the once. But keep getting paid for that one-off work. Over and over again. Passive/royalty income is what clever/gifted people get. Apart from jealousy, what's not to admire about that?Call me Carmine....
HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??0 -
One must be a member of the Utility Warehouse Discount Club to benefit from the card. Being a member means taking services from them. I take G & E and phone lines including my broadband. I'm also on an old good value mobile deal using just the sim card and updating phone if required.

Oh I understand that NigeWick, but as I said in my previous post, you can take the other services that UW offer, and so don't have to take gas and electric from UW, but still benefit from the cashback card.
So you can take your phone and broadband from UW, benefit from the card, and get your gas and electric from, say, Eon if that proves to be a cheaper source of utilities than UW.
So the part that confuses me is where the chasback card "saves you money off your utilities"... it doesn't.. really.. it saves you money off the services you choose to take from UW, and that's not necessarily the same thing.
Don't get me wrong- I think that UW offer a unique service, and going forward I will certainly want to continue being a customer of theirs- just not necessarily for gas and electric.0 -

I once read a great book on passive income- "Rich Dad/Poor Dad". One of the few books I've ever read that really affected me.
And I agree with you, Carmine. There's nothing to not admire about it.
Most people save towards a pension- which is just a form of passive income. Presumably anyone who objects to passive income also objects to building up a pension fund?0 -

Yes as long as you take a qualifying service you can get a cashback card as well.If your cashback exceeds your bill your get balance credited to your bank account and you can use it as you see fit.
Perhaps you might use it to help pay your energy supplier !!
