Now can you give me and everyone else here the link to your elusive cash back card. Sorry it's hidden behind the smoke and mirror.

Would you like to apologise to Nigewick before you disappear again.

Any chance. Just a little biddy chance Quentin.

No. I thought not. Worth a try though.

Incidentally I didn't hear any offensive remark made by Jimmy Chapman. Having met the man I find it highly unlikely he would attempt to do so.

Of course you didn't see anything offensive in the remark/joke.

Incidentally, for your information I contacted HO about certain issues I had and was given a courteous a frank reply which allayed any worries I had.

You missed that bit out when reporting back to your mates who urged you to take your negativity off the forum and put all your concerns to HO.

What you said was that you had contacted HO, but got the reply you "expected which was a stock answer".

Shame your mates (who are so concerned about you voicing your anti uw concerns in public) have to read here that in fact the reply actually "allayed" all your worries.

Or is that just for our benefit?

How can any rep or 'independent' UW customer/shareholder carmine claim that UW are competitive in the energy market? You resell Npower energy adding another layer of profit, do we need to be a physicist to see cause and effect?

You know when hammer has hit nail on head when any reply is a few words long, usually with the word 'rubbish' in the mix. For any new readers please click on the thumbnails below as evidence of how much extra UW would cost me.

Keggs sets great store about the "Unique Personal Service" club members can expect if they join. (In fact it makes in as no 10 in his top ten reasons to join).

Yet over on the reps forum where keggs acts as an agony aunt and dispenses advice to other reps he had this one to deal with:

The rep has signed up a friend (sick, living in "tiny" one bed sheltered accomodation) who at most pays £10/month for G + E.

But UW HO set the DD at around £80/month, sending the customer (quite rightly) up the pole. The rep tries to sort it out, but the next month the same thing happens.

The rep asks what he should do.

Keggs "Unique Customer Service" reply to the unfortunate, frustrated rep:

"Personally I would tell him to cancel his services. No point risking any further aggro"
  • Hi Q, see you are still as happy as ever, what line of business are you in?if you dont mind me asking??
  • Although I must admit, Quentin, I'm left wondering whether this response is taken out of context at all, and how representative it is of the rest of the "Agony Aunt" column?

No, not out of context at all.

The new rep explains the problem, then asks "What would you do????".

I quoted keggs reply in full:

"Personally I would tell him to cancel his services. No point risking any further aggro"

But as we can't see the problem, it's difficult to be able to interpret the context. It's also impossible to see whether this one response is representative of the customer service that UW normally give.
