Though I try and answer all your questions mate, you have failed to answer a single question I've put to you, embarrassing to say the least. One might presume you have something to hide.
I will ask you again....
Why don't you take your broadband/phone package with UW, then by heavily using your discount card, receive these virtually free (if not totally). Then choose a cheap online tariff for your energy? Even better, any discount not used will be credited back to you. So you could even offset this against the cheaper online energy tariff. Does this make sense?
Do you consider this a leading question? Seems more than fair to me. If anyone else from UW would like to answer as carmine has lost the power to type, feel free to answer....[/QUOTE]
I've already given my opinion on this question early today (or did you choose to forget?) I do not mind paying a little extra to receive a bill monthly with my exact useage on, i like to pay my utility bills like this! Plus I have received excellent customer service, which in my opinion is quite important. Plus i would never sign up to an online tariff - maybe for similar reasons that you wouldn't consider online shopping!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

You are obvisouly the perfect type of UW customer.0 -
Now let me see!
I have a little used cottage as an annex to my house with its own gas and electricity supply.
In the last 12 months it has used a grand total of 170kWh electricity. As all units were at tier 1 it cost £20.24. However as the dual fuel discount was applied to my account it reduced the total paid to just over £7 for the year and paperless billing reduced that to £2.
Now according to energyhelpline that 170kWh with UW would cost £43 - which means that UW is 2,150%(Two thousand One hundred and Fifty percent) more expensive than my present tariff.;)
Now if I were to swallow that massive percentage increase in tariff and go with UW for the cashcard - Mmmm:cool:0 -

Yes I probably am the perfect type of UW customer! I'm happy, there happy, I like the service I have received for 7 years, why would I want to change?! I wonder how many people with the big 6 have had nothing to complain about for 7 years, not many I bet! If I did ever have a reason to complain its nice to know that I would be able to speak to a person whom I can understand! (Not wanting to sound racist, but its hard work speaking to somebody in an Indian call centre!):heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

PlushChris will, I hope, be pleased ro read that I have just made an order from Tesco. Not groceries, of course, but this is the sort of no-brainer offer that I tend to take them up on.
Ordered Arctic Monkeys' weird new opus for £8.93 delivered. About as cheap as anywhere so no massive premium paid for the 266 points. I get the album at a competitive price and the equivalent of a main meal at Bella Italia or somesuch restaurant. A winner.Call me Carmine....

But as a "Tesco veteran" I wouldnt have done it like that, I would have used CC vouchers doubled up to entertainment vouchers and not paid a penny for the album/dvd and got more points back than I doubled up. THATS the no brainer deal I will be taking them up on at the weekend.Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
Nice one, but that would involve visiting the store and wasting valuable leisure time, wouldn't it? No thanks.
PS Slight fly in the ointment. It's not available in-store (although the Monkeys album is 23p cheaper there)Call me Carmine....

With that smaller usage Npower would have paid you to take the Electric supply from them too (at the end of the year of course)Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -

Didnt realise it wasnt available in-store, hadnt really looked into it to be honest as I dont usually but many DVDs and CDs
Oh well, I'll just keep my vouchers towards another holiday, as you know they are worth 4 times the amount that wayMissing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
