With that smaller usage Npower would have paid you to take the Electric supply from them too (at the end of the year of course)

Yes I did see that, however how do you illustrate the additional payment UW make in percentage terms!!!

I will settle for UW charge over 21 times as much for electricity as my tariff charges(or 2,150%) - sounds much better from my side of the fence;)

When a post backfires, eh? Shall we call it quits? :D

Well you're the expert in backfiring posts! ;)

Doesnt bother me one way or the other, if I got the DVD/CDs they would only get sold on ebay anyway, I'm no going to spend my hard earned on something I dont really want just to get the points, I'd rather keep the points towards my holidays, there will be something in-store to gain points on shortly where I dont need to spend any cash, I'm fairly sure of that.
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)
  • Oh, I'm sure there will. Good luck with it all, PC....keep the faith and all that.;)

Yes I probably am the perfect type of UW customer! I'm happy, there happy, I like the service I have received for 7 years, why would I want to change?! I wonder how many people with the big 6 have had nothing to complain about for 7 years, not many I bet! If I did ever have a reason to complain its nice to know that I would be able to speak to a person whom I can understand! (Not wanting to sound racist, but its hard work speaking to somebody in an Indian call centre!)

You do sound racist, and that's difficult to understand from someone who can't even speak their own language well enough to know the difference between 'there' and 'they're'.
  • Luckily for you you aren't having a go at my spelling/grammar but if I was janninew I would be very reluctant to take lessons in grammar/spelling from someone who believes the UK's largest supermarket chain is called TESCOS.

And don't do your usual disappearing act when the going gets tough this time. OK?

Surely it is not racist to comment that some accents on the sub-continent are difficult to understand?

Without sounding patronising(I hope), I find the Indian call centre operators unfailingly polite and helpful, but often very difficult to understand.

I have seen the BBC put sub-titles for people speaking with thick accents.
  • It would seem to be the night of the backfiring posts. I've definitely had one, so has Cardew and PlushChris. It's all been a bit of a surprise (even if I say so myself). Of course, clipson's backfiring post is absolutely no surprise...

Well I'm sorry if you assume I'm racist, but I can assure you I'm not, I'm just speaking my opinion. I had a very difficult conversation with an Indian person the other day when I called the Woolwich, I had to say excuse me several times as I simply could not understand what they were saying. I would agree with Cardew, they were very helpful but it was a struggle to get my point across.
Also how do you know that English is my 'own language'? It isn't, I was born in Italy and raised there, so I don't think I do to badly. I think its very rude to point out spelling errors on a forum.

Don't worry about old clipson, janninew. He's got 'previous' for making idiotic posts then disappearing sharpish when he's challenged on any aspect of them. In the 'man or mouse stakes', my guess would be he likes cheese. A lot. He has, of course, disappeared again. Pathetic.
