  • I dont in fact i have been known to defend them if they dont talk a lot of bs.

To be fair, I distinctly remember one incident where jellygoodfellow berated Quentin for suggesting NigeWick was spamming when he sent me the new prices .pdf by email (I had specifically requested it) Credit where credit is due and all that...

PS Or maybe that was another poster :o:D

    Here you go again.

I dont have any objection to people being paid so your barking up the wrong tree again.

I do object to being tarred with the same brush as Quentin.:D

It would help your case if you didnt write nonsense like " He isn't a saleman in the sense that you or some here would think he is - he is simply someone who is a club member himself and wants to help."

Correct me if i am wrong but i get the impression you are addicted to UW and eat and breathe it 24/7.

Please accept my apologies linking you with Quentin.

Your highlight may be rubbish to you but it isn't to me. Of course they are in sales - I have never denied that. However, I don't consider any UW distributor as a salesman in the same sense as either energy salemen, Kirby Cleaners salesmen or people who use hard sell techniques in order to get a sale that people don't want. Any UW ID that does that does should be thrown out. The whole point of the UW business model is recommendation.

Would you consider a customer who gets a small discount off their own bill for telling their friends to phone UW and join a salesman? If not why not? They are getting rewarded in just the same way. The only difference is we get added benefits but seemingly these added benefits makes all the difference as to whether IDs are typical sales people or not in your view. All we do is fill a form and post it off. All customers do who benefit from the customer discount plan is give their mate a phone number to call.

I'm not addicted to UW. It is however the only business of its type that has worked for me and is a genuine opportunity for anyone who wants to not only build a tremendous future for themselves and their families but has allowed me to make new friends and help other people.

All business is about making money by offering a service or product. Quentin might think every business is about screwing others but I do neither with either of my business interests. If my customers thought that then I wouldn't have a business.

We might have to agree to disagree with how we define selling & sales people. How ever we define it the fact is as far as I and roughly 27,000 other IDs and the 300000 club members are concerned the UW is offering benefits. Otherwise they wouldn't continue being a member would they?

That is a fact which even Quentin in his twisted point of view of the world has to accept. However, I doubt if he would. His mission is to destroy the UW I guess. But people who joined as I did made a choice. And that's is what he doesn't like - people making their own choices.

Thanks Steve, the man does live locally to me, and had his own bills there to show me so I believe him to be genuine enough. Its just awkward with the contracts finishing at varying times of year for me. Might be worth hearing him out though.

If you are on a fixed contract, it is almost certain that the UW gas and electricity prices will be considerably higher than you are currently paying.

Many of the UW salesmen are so brainwashed by the company that they genuinely believe the rubbish they spout.

Post your gas and electricity prices here(and area where you live) and let a non-UW salesman tell you how much more you will pay for UW gas and electricity.

There is absoutely no doubt whatsoever that UW gas and electricity prices are amongst the very highest available in UK.

Where is your evidence to support your claim?

If you were an energy salesman asking emilyjade to do just what you have asked is tantamount to asking the non-UW salesman to miss sell. You are asking them to spam as well. You can't prove anything Cardew - one way or another. It's pure assumption.

Your anti UW garbage is becoming as hysterical as Quentin's. I did think you were an intelligent man but it seems the phrases negative bill and CashBack card have addled your brain.

Get over the fact that you and your ilk have lost both the battle and the war.

Just checked a BG fixed deal (your favourite energy supplier) that ends next year (BG Fixed until August 2010) and based on average usage (Yorkshire region) that is £102 per year more than UW even without taking into account the initiatives they offer to potentially make your bill cheaper than with anyone else. Back to the drawing board?

Ps It would appear the people previously on BG Fix and Fall 2006 tariff were automatically transferred to this expensive tariff when that contract ended and specifically had to opt out if they didn't want to go on it. £70 exit fee, BTW. And you criticise UW's modus operandi. Tut.
