You took delight in telling us you'd never post here again

You took delight in telling us you'd ignore me.

You take delight in underhand practices when you park your car.

You take delight in cold calling with your bogus survey.

You took delight in telling everyone I had attacked your wife.

    You now quote McEnroe

    Where is your credibility?

That was a remarkably coherent post for you vinny.
Once again you accuse me of making assumptions, then do the same yourself.

The issue of training in UW has only recently come to the fore, even though I asked the IDs on here baout it months ago. Whilst I don't doubt that the training has always been of a high standard, the fact that it wasn't compulsory has meant that IDs have been signing people up without fully understanding the product or guidelines around selling energy. The people with least understanding were those with the highest incentive to get quick sales (their £200 back). There have been posts on here where IDs have admitted they misunderstood something, and post where people had to help the ID who was trying to sign them up - they hadn't read the thick booklet properly before their prospect arrived.

Complusory training removes all this, and it is a vast step forward - I congratulate UW on taking it.

I have to say swanjon. You say that was a remarkably coherent post on my part. I am a highly educated individual with a number of degree's. I know my stuff about UW as in a number of other subjects. I think it's that you have only just realised that.

My dear fellow, I think you are still missing the most important point that the help has always been there in UW. Before Energy Sure Codes of Practice were introduced for the big 6 and the many direct marketing companies because of high rates of miss selling door to door. That is where the industry has a bad reputation in this country. You have to agree that the door to door practices are more serious cause for concern. You choose to direct attention towards UW and ignore the under trained door to door sales people employed by the direct marketing companies.

Assistance is there for the new UW distributors without the College of Excellence training. The new distributor has to read through and understand the guidelines and then send a separate declaration of such to the company before any application forms can be processed. There are on-line help guides on the extranet, the business manual, local events, their up-line assistance, web sites like networkerplus. To cause a problem someone really has to make a concerted effort because there is a wealth of professional assistance available. As a result the rate of problems has always been very low. The success of the company is a direct result of this.

UW has not been causing problems thus far. However it shows the seriousness of the management team to stamp out any miss selling by making COE compulsory. I condone this.

As far as misleading selling/misleading claims/misleading interpretation of the worthless guarantee you only need to see what they say here to see the problems uw reps cause.

You say Jez's site has no underhanded methods put forward:

    How do you see these:

    1) Con your friends into thinking you have a problem at work which they can help you with by giving up a little time to allow you to practice on them, when the stated agenda is really to sign them up for multiple services. Nice way to use your friends.

    2) Con people in the street you are lost to ask for directions, when really you aren't lost and want to detail them about uw products.

    3) Con people you parked next to by writing a compliment to them to get them to read your advertising stuck on their car

    4) Get round the problem where a "good earner" (for the uw rep) prospect's price worries are meaning he won't sign up by offering to "give" him some customers so that he can get the referral discount to bring his bills down.

    5) See the way the reps work in real life (eg. the gullible spanish teachers)

More underhand examples can be provided if you want them!

Are you seriously putting forward your boss to speak to as a way to convert me? And you expect to be taken seriously?

Come on Quentin. My dear boy. I have read through your post and again it is merely a distorted view point that you have of UW that is causing you to exaggerate. I think if you saw the way I go about telling someone about UW you would be surprised to find that I am the consummate professional.

I simply think that if you actually met Charles Wigoder your view point may change rather than your suspicions causing you to jump to conclusions before knowing the facts. I doubt Charles would ever suggest you get involved. No offence intended.

Why would Wigoder even be in the slightest bit interested in meeting a random obsessive from the internet? It's not as if quentin's blabbering appears to be affecting sales, lol. In the 3 years since his 'campaign' first saw the light of day the company have more than doubled in size. Speaking as a customer, I believe this thread is actually good news for the company - if it didn't exist I don't even think I would have heard of the company let alone actually become a customer...

HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??
  • Can we have a response on the value to our customers of the Negative Bill please?

Can we have a response as to why you appear to think it is a UW reps role to point out that there are cheaper deals available with other suppliers and not the rival suppliers role to promote them to the customer? This seems to be a twisted view of competition.

Can we have a response as to whether you think it's right you are using private information on our password protected website?

Quentin, thanks for your response to my post, again you make some good points, however I note that you are still yet to address the above questions. You are perfectly entitled to your point of view, and make some good arguments, and we are in agreement on some points too.

As this is a money saving site, and regardless of your view on UW, its business practices or ID's, please can you give us your point of view as to whether having a Zero bill with UW is good 'money saving' practice or not - that's all I really want to know! You can even ignore the other 2 questions if you like.

  • Quentin always ignores the questions (and in my case, the posters, lol) he can't answer. That's just what he does. I mean ,we are still waiting for a link to this UW-beating pre-paid cash back card...aren't we? He's been banging on about that for 6-7 months, lol yet still no further details. Not even a hint of its name.

  • I'd love a response before the end of the day as I'm off on hols until 7th September - properly working hard at our business has its rewards. I don't think I could cope with 5 weeks of not knowing!

I shall be returning just in time for our Annual MAD Day rally where we all pay:eek: to get indoctrinated in the cult of UW/T+ for another 12 months, jump up and down on chairs:T, wave our bonus cheques in the air, and high five each other for a job well done! in true 'Big Al' style!

Anyway time for a commercial break

    A poem,

Once upon a time there was a man,
who questioned everything from his pram.
He asked why the moon was made of cheese
but did not worry if his friends were pleased.

He did not laugh when I acted the goat,
but went into his castle with a moat.
People can always stand a moan or a groan
if it happens all the time they will frown.

To see the effect is just being normal,
but those who don't will act too formal.
Help is there for those who seek it,
for the sake of others, please try to greet it.

That's a lovely poem vinnyph. Never heard that although I'm a bit of a philistine when it comes to poetry.

We are a poetry club as well. Anyone else?
