Welcome back, Cardew. Hard to resist this thread, isn't it? How's The Anti UW Faction (TM) going, btw? Any meetings lined up?Call me Carmine....

How many people voted for UW in which magazine again?
Impossible to answer as there's no way of knowing how many people voted in both surveys. I know, I'm being facetious but your question is very badly worded.
Edit: Incidentally, I had cause to email UW customer services today (regarding when my wireless router and USB adapter would arrive, I ended up plumping for the u/l broadband deal). I've had extensive experience emailing many of the Big 6 regarding queries during my switching phase (TM) and have had an autoresponse immediately then, generally, silence for several days. I emailed UW at 9.18 am today and got no autoresponse whatsoever. Worrying. Got an email ANSWER to my query at 11.48am. Bodes well...we'll see.Call me Carmine....

What bad press is that? The detractors here or somewhere else? If elsewhere, would you mind letting us know exactly please.
Google for reviews.
eg here: http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews-all-87791.html (You shouldn't have trouble spotting the reviews written by the reps)
eg:Had electricity from Utility Warehouse, they could never send an accurate bill out would ring with actual meter readings, but they have a policy of not sending out revised bills, changed supplier, rang and paid outstanding amount by phone, then weeks later get a bill for £75, which I am still disputing. Useless this company is useless it doesn't supply any thing, all they have to do is bill people and they can't even do that right.
I suspect that all of you that insist you are saving money haven't checked your readings and bills, you just assume its right- chances are it isn't. leave well alone
And another so unhappy that TS have been involved but cannot get them to correct their misleading website:We have been with the UWH for about 5 years. It's been the worse 5 years of my life dealing with these people. When you have any problems, they are rude, don't care and hide behind the phone. They advertise ALL MEMBERS can get the gold membership service, you cant.Only new members can. I have reported this to Trading Standars, who had a meeting with them mid April 2009 and told them to change their web site. To date, 11th June, they still havn't. I have told the Trading Standards, AGAIN and lets hope they do something about the mis-leading infomation on the site.
If you want to use a good company, DONT USE THE UWH0 -

So its not a survey in any real sense then? Where a representative sample of the UK population is surveyed. Its just folk who have an interest that vote? Maybe, just possibly 20 UW salesman trying to drum up sales. Maybe the someone who spam these boards.........0 -
the only reviews worth bothering about are the ones carried out by the regulator when they fine companies for various infractions.
that way at least you know the people involved are real.0 -

Eh?It was a survey carried out by Which, a highly regarded and independent consumer organisation. If the results they published are bothering you so much, why not take it up with them?

KN, Ofgem didn't even fine npower over its sculpting scandal so I'm not entirely convinced your theory holds water, tbh. I was going to suggest they are useless but that would probably be unfair to the word.Call me Carmine....

The Which surveys Ive seen in the past requested a response from their readers. The didn't actually carry out a qualitative survey, rather if a minimum response requirement was met, it was included in their results.0 -
The review centre page posted by Q is promoting a distributors site.
If the poster was so fed up over 5 years why did he not leave?
I thought the debate about the Which reports had been dead and buried.0
