I did not offer to "sort it all out." I offered to try and help. I sent an e-mail to the company and forgot to check the e-mail address that I sent it from. I received an e-mail from the company and passed the result on. There is nothing "mysterious." Dave and I sent PMs to each other on the subject. He was still not happy with the responses he was getting from the company and I gave him the name of the person in charge and provided an address.

Dave was not my customer and so I would never get anything from trying to help him. Carmine asked a question some time ago and I tried to help him. Detractors accused me of "advertising" because I asked him to PM me with an e-mail address to send the latest tariffs. He seems satisfied with the result.

This being a money saving site, Carmine posted his list of requirements for utilities and asked if somebody could find him a better deal than he can get from Utility Warehouse. To date, nobody has managed to do so. Using the cash back card, my figures showed that I pay less for my utilities than I would with "the best buys" quoted here by a member. For people who are happy to accept certain restrictions, they can pay less for their utilities than with any other company.

I am an Independent Distributor with Utility Warehouse and any opinions expressed here are my own and may not be shared by the company.

Utility Warehouse do not claim to have the cheapest per unit costs. They claim to be cheaper than the most expensive, and, if those selected companies drop their prices, Utility Warehouse will beat them. In certain circumstances, Utility Warehouse will work out to be the best overall deal for many people. This is especially true if they use the cashback card to best effect. You may not like the company but they do provide best value for parts of the population and are therefore a good option for a substantial percentage of us.

That of course is totally incorrect. It has been demonstrated time and again that there are masses of better deals.

EON on-line and BT are a far better deal and there are hundreds of permutations that are a far better deal.

What Carmine has done is give a package with some unimportant features(e.g. the Prospero magazine) and of course that makes it unique - not good value, in fact very poor value - and put that as his requirement.

To give you an analolgy. I might intend to buy a car* which amongst other attributes has a silver handled umbrella concealed in fan heated compartments in each wing. That for me is an essential requirement.

I challenge you to find a car that is a better deal to suit my requirements.

How many bleeding times do I have to say this?? FORGET THE BLOODY PROSPERO MAG. I have said this loads of times, you MUST have seen it. I do wonder about your powers of perception, Cardew - you apparently 'see' things that simply aren't there and never have been (French & Saunders advertising UW on TV most nights would be the most glaring example of this, no question, but there are others, of course) but you don't see things that clearly ARE there, like my stating that the lack of Prospero Mag is in no way a deal breaker. This is getting as funny as it is bizarre.

All the emotive outpourings in this thread come from UW reps upset that the tactics of UW reps, and the high prices UW charge have been exposed.

Indicative of the tactics are the utterances of Carmine, who spends his time researching the history of all posters in a pathetic attempt to discredit them. e.g. That huge lie that French and Saunders advertised on TV instead of the internet - really relevant to UW prices!!!!

So as challenges seem to be much in vogue! can the massed ranks of UW reps accept a challenge to simply deal with issues of UW - e.g. counter accusations, deal with prices and tactics - and not keep keep squealing that people 'hate UW'.

So you are finally admitting that was a lie? The reason I bring it up is entirely down to your attitude on here and other threads. You have several times accused me of having no credibility. Which I think is a little rich coming from someone who has FINALLY admitted to telling an untruth in a pathetic attempt to get his point across. What does that say about YOUR credibility, I wonder? Actually, I don't wonder at all - I know exactly what it says.

The sole defence that you can muster about UW high prices is that I said 'TV' instead of 'internet' (a mistake that was acknowledged immediately).

Nothing substantive about the issue of UW high prices, their modus operandi etc etc.

Cardew "lied about TV", so he is discredited and anything he says about UW high prices is also a lie.

Is that really not seriously pathetic?

It wouldn't be so bad if I was the only 'victim' of this 'smear' tactic. Poster after poster who incurs his wrath has their history of posts examined and a post on shopping habits or insurance policies is triumphantly quoted to denigrate his target.

Nothing on the issue being discussed but 'Cardew Lied'.

Not only have you no credibility, but you have IMO a serious charachter defect.
